Moment of Valor is actually a first time print. The card y'all were thinking of was Valorous Stance, which is similar, but different. Valorous Stance's first mode doesn't untap, and doesn't provide a power boost, and the second mode targets toughness not power. In exchange, it's a mana cheaper. Valorous Stance was in Fate Reforged, Jumpstart, Commander Legends, Double Masters, and Crimson Vow.
I have never supped upon a Gingerbread House.
I mean… I like Ginger, in general, including on people.
I disagree with the mashing of the color pie, there's nothing to the colors otherwise. If every color does everything, why have the colors in the first place? Why have a colored mana?
MTG is built on the principle that the colors do different things, stop encouraging color breaks it will inevitably ruin the game. Increase the power level, yes, ok, but don't break the colors identity, why have colors then? The colors wouldn't mean anything.
With regards to "I would drink this tea" – does this fall under "do not eat the delicious cards", or do we need a new ruling?
God the cut to moment of valor and immediate cut back as cam returns to talking about martians is so funny
Finally, someone exposing the ocean for what it truly is
yes, Knickknack Ouphe goes in my Kestia deck so hard
cam: anyway, teens
me, 27: who – me?
😂
Loved that gingerbread tangent.
"We need to cast off the shackles of the color pie" So, Planar Chaos 2 when, WOTC?
Didn't expect to be reminded about The Mountie but Adam's got my back.
And I think Blizzard Brawl is my favorite green fight spell.
Wheeler sees Compulsion: melts.
Cam and Adam see Compulsion: ehh, doesn't seem that good
Adam and Cameron is a rare and wonderful combination!
I love the editing at 15:13 where it follows Cam's train of thought.
I'm watching this from 4 hours in the future. I would tell you what's happening right now, but you wouldn't wanna know.
Is "rap" short for "rapport"?
The thought of Catapult + Curiosity terrifies me.
Our two favorites are here to scare us on a physical and emotional level before Adam comforts us from how scary awesome Cameron is.
FIRE philosophy isn't that cards get better. FIRE is why Limited has less unplayables and commons and uncommons are actually able to contend with rares a lot more often. Also, Adam is talking about a Rare, one that does take 5 total mana to use both parts of it.
The implication that commander boosters require a "rap" to "teens" a la discussion about drugs… feels apt, ngl 😅
I cant say format is settled, but compulsion meant i had no dead draws in the late game
I genuinely love the bonus Crack-A-Packs 😁
If you pronounce ouphe correctly then you summon one.
You don't want to summon one.
I love the chaos of this edit
Amazing 🙂
you two are having lots of fun
5:40 big ouphe.
Force fruition, the really old days of ixilan lol
One of my favourtie reocouring themes of LRRMTG is Adam discovers weird/busted constructed cards
Thanks!
Did anyone flash back to that Hbomberguy video when they were discussing the pronunciation of "ouphe"?
DO NOT STEEP THE MAGIC THE GATHERING (A GAME BY RICHARD GARFIELD) CARDS IN HOT WATER TO MAKE TEA. IT WILL NOT WORK THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO.
Great editing and great hosts!
All 5 of the full-art basics in this set are done by Hari & Deepti, and they're all physical paper cut lightbox pieces! They have some incredible pieces, highly recommend peeking at their work
Hey algorithm! This one’s for you.
Mill stone ,keening stome
Cameron's face on the last card tells a story. I questioned why we went* rare to common, but the fact that he called us Unruly Catapults and opened one was pretty lucky. I hope he took advantage of this luck on the day of recording. Thanks for the great opening you two.
Re: Cam mentioning the Assassin post first strike damage – a friend of mine runs a pauper deck full of pingers/first strike and You Are Already Dead effects. Still in testing but it means that you can never block his creatures effectively. It may not be good but it’s GREAT
Gingerbread can be quite good, if you like the taste of ginger, and what is now commonly known as 'pumpkin spice' (Cinnamon, mace, clove, ect).
I do like that gingerbread…
To be fair, life of privation might describe my childhoood…
Adam and Cam, the duo we didn't know we needed. 🙂
I eat all of the gingerbread house. I build it, take a couple of nice pictures, then it's allowed to be eaten immediately.
Guess I'm the imposter
God I love this duo so much.
I'm loving the big Nobody Is Watching Us, Except The Robots vibe from you guys.
I come from the world of Equestria to tell you that gingerbread is my favourite seasonal delicacy, just ahead of pumpkin pie.
