Why Does Bullfighting Still Exist In Spain? | Alex Polizzi's Secret Spain | TRACKS

Presenter Alex Polizzi heads to inland Spain, enjoying the history, art and culture of Madrid. She sees cafes that specialize in only hot chocolate and churros, a late night favorite, and learns more about the complicated history of bullfighting, speaking to a matador about the history of the culture. She then visits the picturesque town whose windmills inspired some of the anecdotes in Don Quixote, meeting a former monk who built a huge cathedral by himself, and ending up in the beautiful old university town of Salamanca, a Unesco World Heritage site.

  1. The Brits have fox hunts and USA folks will kill anything and everything. Spain's traditions are their culture. Stop huckin' rocks when ya live in a glass house.

  2. That monk at 92 and did that in 55 years. What love he has for Christ. Unfortunately, he will not be able to complete his work. If it was on a smaller scale, his vision would have been accomplished. I hope he gets to meet Christ in his next journey! A very devoted follower of Christ indeed!
