  1. Hi. Cardiologist here. Your intention is very noble but there are certain facts i would like your audience to know.
    1. Stroke is not heart attack. Stroke is when neurons die because of some sudden blockage in the arteries of brain. Stroke may also be due to hemorrhage in the brain.

    2. Cardiac arrest and heart attack are very different entities. The cases you mentioned in the beginning could be cases of cardiac arrest (more likely than heart attack). Cardiac arrest is an electric phenomenon. Roughly cardiac arrest is when there is no effective blood pumping from heart. Usually it leads to sudden death. A heart attack is entirely different. When some plaque (or blockage) in the heart suddenly ruptures there is clot formation inside the arteries supplying to the muscles of heart. The muscles of the heart die because of a heart attack.

    3. India has more cases of heart disease – why? because a. South Asians are genetically more likely to have heart disease. b. India is diabetes capital of the world. Diabetes is an important risk factor of heart disease. C. There are genetic disorders which make the person more likely to have a heart attack – for eg. Familial Cholesterolemia.

    4. Being underweight does not make you at risk of heart disease. One of the largest study ever conducted on the risk factors of heart disease – the INTERHEART study says that there are traditionally 9 risk factors. Most of those risk factors you have mentioned.

    5. Over – exercise does not cause plaque deposition. Exercise may be one of the many triggers behind heart attack – triggers are those factors which cause a stable plaque to rupture. That doesn't mean people should stop exercising.

    6. Cardiac arrest – immediate CPR has to be given.
Heart attack – immediately take to hospital for emergency angioplasty or thrombolysis within the golden hours (1st 6-12 hrs after onset of symptoms).

Many people have been commenting here – Vaccines. No! It doesn't happen that way.
