And this is why I would dread the obi-wan series if I cared anymore. Thanks for that Disney… I now no longer care about star wars
What is strange to me is that they basically made the mandolorian more like the old fett (i mean looking at the slaughter house scene) while neutering all the traits that people liked about fett (namely the ruthless no nonsense hunter) and instead made him really bland and uninteresting. The series could have worked if they kept the other stuff out and embraced the fact fett is a callous bounty hunter who swears no lasting allegiance (I’d actually like the idea of him setting up a guild as that’s similar to what occurs in legends). Point is Disney doesn’t get Star Wars and has no intention of honouring it’s legacy

Really enjoyed this video. Great points regarding the fact that obvious aspects of Boba's lore were seemingly ignored when making this show. We didn't focus much on Boba's lack of combat prowess in our own Boba essay for example, but seeing you highlight it here makes me realize how much of a silly oversight that was on the showrunner's part. Especially considering how they made him a complete badass for several scenes when he appeared in the Mandalorian. The fact that Boba loses pretty much every fight in his own show really makes little sense.
star wars bounty hunter ,the boba fett comics like blood ties and the jango fett comics are peak fett/mandalorian Material. just it doesnt matter how much Filoni tried to erase the og mandalorians with his garbage bullshit ,disney cannot erase the og boba fett
There is one redeeming factor to this show at least, people will look for alternatives to get that good ol’ mystic sci-fi fix. Perhaps create their own. Going through smaller creators, one’s that aren’t run into the ground by some unfeeling corporate monopoly. Personally I’ve been reading Tower of God by SIU on webtoon, (a bit more on the fantasy side) preparing to read The Expanse (a hard sci-fi from what I’ve been told) and working on my own craft. All I can do is thank Disney for pushing me away to find new horizons.
