Who Wins the 2024 NFL Wins Pool Draft?

Glory and humiliation…it’s what friendly competition is all about. We bring both together in the annual TAFS Wins Pool. Robert Mays and Derrik Klassen selected seven teams apiece with the goal of assembling the group that combines for the most wins this season. This year’s twist…their final two picks had to be teams projected by the betting markets to win fewer than seven games. The winner will achieve personal glory. The loser will suffer the humiliation of paying off a bet on Radio Row during Super Bowl week. Friendly competition is the best, isn’t it?

  1. I love this sort of stuff. I do a similar exercise in a 4-person group with some friends. We also score the playoffs (make it to WC = 1, to Div = 2, to CCG = 3, to SB = 4, win the SB = 5)

I also took the Lions at #3 overall, by the way. That was somehow unpopular in our group… Not sure why.

  2. Not for nothing but I'd really love it if you guys could, whether in the comments or description, give a sort of table of contents/laid out chart of what happened that ep.

For this episode, for instance, even just having the list of teams that you both chose would be perfect

  3. As usual the Tua disrespect is out control with no objective reasons. #1 in passing yards with injuries all around him on offense. Weak arm is all I hear but many of top QB's of all time didn't have top tier arms (Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Joe montana). Obviously his arm strength is not an issue to be one of best deep ball throwers by any metric, one of most accurate by any metric, and again led league in passing yards.

He elevates dolphins clearly you can see when he is out and Teddy Bridgewater comes in the offense falls apart (including run game).

All I'm saying is Tua is a top 12 QB and people act like he is worst QB in league.

  4. I feel like the Cowboys' schedule is harder than y'all were making it out to be. 49ers, Lions, Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Eagles twice. Things could get kinda dicey if they drop a couple of the games that they should win.

  5. Oh the joys of rooting for a team that isn't good enough to make the good team lists and is too good to make the bad team lists. Where we'll probably be lucky to make the playoffs but either way are going to end up with a craft draft pick.

  6. My big board would have been:
    Chiefs
    49ers
    Texans
    Lions
    Jets
    Bengals
    Packers
    Eagles
    Dolphins
    Cowboys
    Rams
Bills (just feel risky but I believe in them)
    Falcons
    Colts
    Ravens
    Bears

    Bad teams:
    Titans
    Giants
    Broncos
    Panthers
    Raiders
    Patriots
    Commanders
