In 1992, a bitter strike at a gold mine in Yellow Knife, Canada, resulted in tensions between union miners and replacement workers. Amidst the strike, a deliberate underground explosion killed nine miners, leading to a murder investigation and the eventual conviction of Roger Warren for second-degree murder.

Studying criminology and series like these gives me an insight into my chosen field and Grahame Greene as the narrator is a double bonus! Greets from Australia
Bombers and arsonists are 100% cowards
I’m really surprised that this series would pick up this story, the RCMP really screwed up this whole thing from well before the bombing. It’s well known that the RCMP refused to get involved with the multiple death and bombing threats the mine had received months before. There’d been vandalism, fights, fires set, etc. then after the bombing, the RCMP allowed the mining company to reopen the mine one week after the explosion even though the victims families, the community and outside experts said it was in poor taste and could potentially cause a loss of potential evidence. 😂 yeah I’m really surprised that this show even covered Yellowknife.
I’m sorry but I burst out laughing at the rape murder case. It’s sad that such a young and promising girl encountered that, what I was laughing at was that the s.o.b thinks that a fingerless glove can prevent him being caught. Didn’t know fingerless gloves won’t leave fingerprints.. not sure if it’s speculation on the authorities part or that’s what the s.o.b told them, but I’m glad he thought that and gets caught because of it.
Don't believe everything youchear… hungry to convict & wringful conviction is all to common
How can they justify sleeping at night???? All those poor poor men, rip
I couldn't climb up and down a 750 foot ladder if my life depended on it.
Your storytelling brings the stories of victims to the forefront in a respectful and impactful manner. It's an important work that pays tribute to their memory.
I had to listen to that part again to realize they really sentenced a man who raped and killed 17 year old to 18 years in prison. This crime literally deserved electric chair. He stalked her, planned the rape, raped her and murdered her. How the hell he only got 18 years? He is in his 20-30-ies, so he will be free at the age of 48 (at worst)…
That background music was awful.
Obviously NOT who you think it was.
One day prior to the oldest of un picked news paper outside the house could have been a potential clue in knowing the day of the murder, but the detectives seems to be more focused on the flees.
The task facing the rcmp was youge how big is youge
Which penny-waste judge gave that man 2nd degree ??? He knew what he was doing and so killed 9 hard working men!
What does "Die Scab" mean inside the mines on the ground walls?
What the background song? Artist or song name?
