dark souls 3 dumbed down the series in terms of just.. teaching players AWFUL… just AWFUL habits.
God bless most of those habits are gone in elden ring with iframes from rolls being worse.
If Bloodborne is never successfully ported then Miyazaki will just have to live with the knowledge that his creation is always running emulated at the lowest possible optimization somewhere in the world.
That ambush magic where is that?! I have a bunch of magic stuff found but none of the long range stuff.
Did he really say that he played 60 hours an couldn't figure out how to read an item description…??
Allow me to co op without forcing pvp or gtfo.
If you missed the tutorial you weren't even trying.
I have been playing video games since the early 90's. I've played just about every open world RPG game that has been made. The genre just does it for me. It scratches an itch that shooters and other games don't.
Elden Ring is BY FAR the best open world RPG game that has been made and its not even close.
who cares about story? I love this game because it doesn't confine me to some story, but rather lets me explore and discover
Completely agree with Lawrence, "not everything is made for everybody"
Who's hating on elden ring?
The maidenless of course
I love elden ring and im so happy charlotte is back in gaming news
Definitely not my type of game but glad it is going well in sales as I am a fan of single player story driven games. I do like watching others play it but doubt I ever will.
I just don't see how they can't do regular coop. I mean when Dark Souls first came out, using those things to summon someone to help was cool but now in 2022, I don't get why there can't just be a regular coop option. You have some coop in this game, so why not just give people the full coop experience
Gamers have been taught by game developers for years to mindlessly follow directions. It’s almost as though most gamers play games solely to beat them. If all you’ve ever played is to-do list simulators then a game that makes you think and pay attention might feel aimless. I’ve played all of From’s games and I’m well versed in their style. The game gives you ample direction, you just have to be paying attention.
60 times 12 million.
Hmm to much work.
You can't find the tutorial?
Buddy when I first played I searched the area found a ghost in a chair spoke to it then jumped down went through the tutorial got merked went back and merked everyone
Lol.
If you say Elden Ring's quest design is bad then that means you don't understand how souls games work! I hate when people expect the quests in souls games to be the same as every RPG!
I have already put in 184 hours and 3 playthroughs into Elden Ring and I have a platinum trophy on PS5! With all of that, I am still playing the game! It is very addictive!
Turns out when you make an engaging game that you dont have to sleepwalk through, people can overlook some issues
Great analysis as always. Loving these videos 🙂 !
The reason why this game is popular is because it's not a mmorpg and in this particular genre the last good single player game released was skyrim, which did really well. Now if this had been released as a mmorpg, this game would have flopped hard.
Elden Ring is my first Souls like game, and I absolutely love the open world. I've been going to areas where I shouldn't be and grabbing some good good loot. Also, I haven't watched any of these videos in a while, and was very surprised to see Charlotte lol.
If you've ever touched a game in your life I find it hard to believe you missed the tutorial
As of yet I'm pretty sure the only content they added into the game were incomplete questlines that were already partially in the game, even the brand new NPC is a continuation of an existing questline. They also completely removed an armor set from the game that was linked to an unused NPC. So it'll probably be a few weeks or months before we know if this will be a service type game/a game they plan on consistently adding new content to, beyond the usual dlc or two
So according to Lawrence Battlefield 2042 was art that was not understood by the audience, be less of a shill Lawrence.
This video is proof that the soulsborne community is a literal cult. The more you push back against any criticism the more it comes back to bite you guys.
Botw never got this toxic when it came out. No idea why you guys are so insanely rabid about others opinions for Elden Ring.
after having to slog thru a 90 min tutorial in dying light 2 I'm much happier with elden ring
I haven't seen any elden ring hate but gran turismo 7 is being review bombed right now because of micro transactions and Un rewarding game play.
I'm not surprised that it's out sold gta 4 since ps3 was barely out by then and gaming was more niche.
If Elden Ring doesn't get a sequel or trilogy, I wouldn't mind. It's a great standalone game.
I haven't played Elden ring yet. But I'm looking more forward to what Bluepoint will produce next. I'm assuming it's a sequel to Demons Souls or Bloodbourne. I think some new perspective is good
As a fan of fromsoftware since the psone days of king's field and armored core, I would just love to have them release a new armored core with at least 1/10th of the effort they put into Elden ring…
And yes I know the rumors of a survey from a while back of a potential new mecha game from them, but I won't believe it until it's official
Would love to see an animated show made by genndy tartakowsky based on elden ring, like he the one he animated for star wars clone wars. Just pure animated goodness.
