  1. To expand on this idea for next year, I'd include two more corners: A treat for teams that performed as they should (including rebuilding teams losing), and a full-sized candy bar for teams that were way better (and not in a rebuild). In the same vein, for the "you guys should be rebuilding, not good" teams, rename it "trick" because they're tricking themselves and us.

Great concept and I'd like to see it thematically appropriate for each month

  2. I wouldnt blame you for giving the wings a rock based off last night performance alone. That was no NHL team…. hopefully they pick it up and learn from the blunders unlike last year

  3. Hi Shannon! I’m a (relatively) new hockey fan from Atlanta and I love your content! I’m formerly a big thrashers fan and I was wondering if you would have any jerseys for sale (specifically an old Ilya Kovlachuk jersey). He was my favorite growing up. If not do u know where I could potentially grab one?

  4. Love the video idea! It sparked a potential future video idea, at the end of each month you update where teams lie- a four corners style video where each corner of the board is a different category. Those would be:
Playing Good- Supposed to be Good
Playing Good- Supposed to be Bad
Playing Bad- Supposed to be Good
Playing Bad- Supposed to be Bad
Just throwing it out there, keep up the awesome work!!

  5. 'Boston wasn't a team I was expecting to see 8-1'
To be fair does anyone expect to go i8-1 in hockey to start the year? Or 9-1 now? I'm betting even those teams that won 60 games didn't start 9-1
Edit: tampa went 7-2-1 when they won 62 games
Detroit went 5-3-2 won they won 62 games

  6. Guess who IS now in third place in their division? Seattle pulled ahead of Calgary with our win tonight. I mention that because Shannon made the point that with better goal tending we might be in contention for 3rd place. BOOM! 😉😂 (I know. It's early. But it sure feels good.)

  7. I am so much more impressed right now with the Sabres considering where the teams are that they beat on the list and knowing it’s not just bottom feeder team wins. I think all things considered after they beat Pittsburg tomorrow they will be looked at with waaaay more respect in November. Go Sabres !!!

  8. In Columbus, we didn't just get a rock, we got a whole damned quarry, But hey, we woke up this morning dead last in the overall standings which means we currently hold the best odds to land Connor Bedard, and if that ends up happening, that's not a bad thing.

  9. I appreciate you thinking critically for the wings. The injuries on our top forwards are pretty drastic. No Vrana, Bertuzzi, Fabric still out, Sundquist was solid and is out, Rasmussen picking up a suspension and the wings fielding a player who took a puck to the face two nights before. I'm hoping the wings can bring the fire next month and play with their heads up. Poor defensive zone coverage

  10. Oilers are now on a 5 game win streak following their win over Nashville, while Pens and Blues are on 5 game losing streaks.
You should do a similar video after December, on which teams received coal instead of gifts and which teams received gifts when they weren't expected to.

  11. Minnesota is fine. They have major cap issues for this year and two more, so expectations aren't nearly as high as what you seem to think. The 3 losses to start the season came against 2 teams many picked to be in the SC finals. They are currently in a playoff position after going 5-1-1 since.

  12. very funny you called Nashville – Jersey. As a Devil fan, '94 we heard Devs were leaving to Nashville ———- It is all good Jersey made Vancouver look like an AHL team last night
