  1. First.

Don't agree. It was bad enough to be fired. DA isn't a typical first year coach. He's been with the organization for years and was you could assume a HOF coach tutelage during that time as well. His demeanor on the sidelines and how he handled the injury situations, gametime decisions and halftime adjustments. His flaws are glaring.

I do agree letting the OC have significant input on who the next QB will be. No on Andy Dalton being bought back. I think doing that sets the wrong tone and lowers morale.

  2. Hear me out. Payton goes to Arizona. Saints either get the 3rd pick or the second round pick and the first and some change next year.

Dhop gonna get traded so it seems. Kyler needs a new WR in contested catches. Boom, Michael Thomas goes over to Arizona with Payton.

  3. Do you guys think Sean is trying to wait and hold off from Coaching this year to see is Dennis Allen screws up again and he and Mickey Loomis wants him to come back and coach the Saints because they have a better roster than what it was when he left? That may be THEIR AGREEMENT from the time he left and he was ONLY TAKING A BREAK for a little while! 🤷🏾‍♀️

  4. If Winston leaves he will stay in the division and make us pay for not given him a chance. I was disappointed when Winston didn't play the last game to at least see what we have in him.

  5. DA is incapable of overseeing an entire team. We just watched how its looks when he let the OC run the offensive side while he managed everything else – and it was an epic fail.

  6. It sounds like Mike is the realist and Nick is the dreamer. The Saints have NO leverage. They have to take whatever the best offer is and all the teams know that. So what do you do when you know the other side has no leverage? You open low and see if anyone else beats it. And then you just barely beat THAT. Teams should open with a pair of 2s or even a 2 and a 3. And if it gets pushed up to where Denver will give us the 30th pick, that may be the CEILING. Unless multiple more players get involved.
The Saints MUST trade Sean this season or they likely lose tremendous value. And Arizona is NOT giving us No.3 overall. We need Chicago and Dallas to get involved. And hopefully Carolina too. Carolina really helps because you can demand so much more because they're in your division and then Jerry feels like he has to outdo everybody and THEN you start getting these dream scenarios.
As things stand right now, MIKE IS RIGHT, THE CEILING IS PROBABLY THE 30TH PICK AND NOTHING ELSE.

  7. The way things look right now, and the situation that the Saints are in with draft picks, I would rather fix the QB situation with scheme then look for Jesus in cleats to fix issues with scheme. The 49ers are proving that with the right scheme and roster you can win and not win 20-16 with a QB that isn’t necessary the most physically gifted as long as he’s smart, accurate and can play within structure. I would like to snag an offensive assistant from the Lions’ staff because they are already running a variant of the offense that we’re evolving towards in fits and starts where the basis of the run game is zone like Shanahan but they don’t completely castigate gap and power runs like Shanahan and his guys do. I think that then you could figure out how to best optimize Taysom’s role which would make it that much easier for a Stetson Bennett-type to come in and do what Brock Purdue is doing.

  8. Love Nick’s take on margin for error. Dalton can go 9 for 9 for 45 yards and get you down the field consistently. But when even the smallest things get in the way, such as penalties or sacks or missed FG’s you just get no production for your offense. You can get away with it more if your QB is a game breaker

  9. 1. There is no magic qb out there that can solely fix the saints offensive issues. Even suggesting that seems like wishful thinking. This team lacks talent at the skill positions and even the oline with all the injuries. It’d be interesting to see you guys talk about how they can replenish their skill positions and oline with the limited flexibility that this team has. With Dalton in the fold, I think qb should be low priority for this team unless they fall in love with somebody in the draft.

    2. I think nick got the floor and ceiling mixed up lmao. If this team can get a first and multiple 2s from somebody for Sean Payton then more power to them. But again it seems like a pie in the sky scenario lmao.

  10. Is it possible we could clean cap, draft to build offense, and aim for Caleb Williams? Like starting to build his offense a year in advance. At that point we could offer Caleb a new coach with weapons designed for him and a cleaner cap to build around. You guys were saying that you want us to prioritize quarterback, so why not prioritize the best one that we could get on a rookie deal? We can 100% get him if we want him to.

  11. What disappointed me the most after that last game was Andy Dalton's interview after the game. He talked like he was the starter going forward. I never liked the idea at all with going with Dalton as the starter and not at least giving Winston the opportunity to play at all to see what he could do. What scares me is I think DA thinks he can win games with Dalton still. DA is a stubborn man which is one reason I'm against him. I agree if he starts out next year losing then he has to go by week 5 a la Matt Rhule. If DA can find a good OC and listen to him he may succeed. Our defense played well enough the last few games for us to win.

  12. What your describing is what we had this year at quarterback. So why should fans believe that DA will add the excitement aspect to the game when he refused to after Jameis was healthy. How can we expect DA to get a Anthony Richardson type quarterback and use him correctly

  13. I wish we could hire Ben Johnson from the Lions but I'm afraid he's taking the Panthers job if offered. With him in charge and if he succeeds half as much as he did in Detroit the Panthers are going to be scary good. I'm already picking the Panthers to run away with the division next year unless we make a wholesale amount of changes for the better

  14. Why not send Michael Thomas to the Jets for Zach Wilson? Wilson has some maturing to do, but still has huge potential. Mike could play for the same organization that his uncle Keyshawn played for. I would resign Dalton to be a mentor for Wilson for one season.
