Do Denmark 😊
👍👍
Countries like NL, Germany, Sweden gets A+ on social indicators because the masses are well fed. Truth is that, they are fed well enough to run perpetually on hamster wheel, but not well enough that they can have enough passive income by the age of 45 to settle down in sorted middle class comfort. Welf are tax burden are so high on educated middle class that people with tertiary degree and well into their 40s live in shared flats and ride bicycle to work (environmentally friend: yes, but they also cannot afford any better). Reward to effort curve is effectively flat. Tax burden is entirely shifted on salaries middle and lower middle class, while businesses enjoy all the perks of freewheeling neoliberalism. 10+ years experienced Java developer from Infosys at 2500€ per month, African migrants delivering on-demand noodles and pizza, cleaning toilets, and working in underground cannabis farm, while Boomers sit on real estate gold mine and WaPo / NYT praise your "free" healthcare. What not to love?
There was more important migration from the prostant regions of Spanish Netherlands.
If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a huge mistake. I understand that it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to make your money work for you… prevent inflation
If ain't Dutch, you ain't much! 😆
Netherlands are not rich it is quite poor country compare to Ireland lol xd.
Great video, thanks for finally covering my second home!
"…the 17th largest economy on the world just behind Indonesia, …"
*faint gekoloniseerd *
4:43 is a crazy graph
About the part time work:
It’s actually a ongoing issue here in netherlands. There are too many subsidies for people under a certain income, so a lot of people will lose money if they work more hours (as they would lose the benefits, there are pretty hard cutoffs) That is why so many people just work less, because they would lose money working more. That is not a good thing
Denmark is more productive than the Netherlands. Denmark is not resource rich and is not a tax haven.
How can you make a video about the Dutch economy without mentioning ASML? Anyway, stability should be scored lower and Industry higher imo.
We do have ASML so we practically own the rest of the world. They are about a decade behind on our technology.
Interesting overview.
Love the random footage of Moscow at 6:58 lol
Fun vid, have to mention some things though. Institutional stability is decreasing over at least the last decade I think.
Overall in the stats, to bad to see we score a 3 on one area, for the rest…..yeah, one of the better places to be born. In my case, with my health and its consequences I am glad I live here.
You missed the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Bird Paradise and River Safari. Clark Quay boat ride is better than the one you took.
Is Hong Kong internationally friendly still?
If you ain't Dutch, you ain't much.
Thanks!
Because Romania is not accepted in Schengen YET on the maritim side. They don't have competition so that's they privail.
We are all gonna end up homeless soon but at least the economy is doing well
Try buying a house
Coming from an academic economist here, I think you guys should include the gini coefficient in your ranking of countries. HDI might also work as substitute for gini and gdp per capita
