What if my spouse doesn’t share my dreams?

Please join us by the Christmas fire where we will talk life updates, rank (and debate) animals on the farm from favorite to least favorite, and other general holiday fun! As always, we enjoy the live interaction with folks the most with these, so please send any questions our way! Cheers!

MORE ABOUT ME

I’m Anne of All Trades. In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you’ve got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you’ve always wanted to do, everything is “figureoutable.”

I became “Anne of All Trades” out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break and build the things I need.

8 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool.

My goal is to learn and share traditional techniques and skills while showing my peers how to get from where they are to where they want to go, how to do the things they are passionate about, and what can be done TODAY to engage their own community and grow deep roots.

Whether it’s carving spoons, making my own hand tools, restoring my antique truck or growing heirloom tomatoes, the farm and workshop definitely keep me busy and support – whether financially through Patreon, through shopping my affiliate links, through buying merchandise, plans or project videos, or even just liking, commenting, and sharing my content with others helps me GREATLY to keep producing quality content to share.

  1. When you say “ranking the animals” do you mean stuff like “the llama is a 9 but she smells funny” or “the goat is a 6 but he has a great sense of humor so it makes him more like an 8 or 9” ??

  2. Wasn't able to see the live broadcast. Did sit through the video. Not waiting is good. Until never happens. Tuxedo cats rule. Found out more in depth from the whaa in Instagram. Do miss the daily morning Anne. Letting go of control is important. My advice to my clients is relationships require compromise. Just not on the thing that is most important. You have a lot on your plates. Good night.

  3. Government meddling and regulations are indicative of a subconscious, even conscious, awareness, in their own minds, that bureaucrats and politicians are basically useless interlopers, non producers causing their constant interference in the affairs of men and progress!
Be vigilant in pursuing common sense, at the least …

  4. I wonder about expectations for a spouse. I get the main ones, yes (especially emotional support and listening), but my wife is comically uninterested in my shop ventures. I think our attention should be on being a good partner, ourselves, freely giving and surprising, with graceful love. Do what it takes to give. For me, that is (at least partly) finding time and space to create.

  5. Thank you both for continuing to be so transparent. Two [wholly formed yet still evolving, perfectly unique, intricately flawed, beautifully and constantly growing] people coming together and choosing life partnership is probably the most difficult thing in this world. It's easier for people to digest quick nibbles of information and people are attracted to the shiny facade. So whether it's talking about your relationship or mental health, I truly appreciate you sharing authentically about real life challenges that you face, because many if not all people face similar things. Sending love!!

  6. Merry Christmas. You two are the ultimate proof that opposites attract and love conquers all. So proud of the hard work and commitment that both of you have invested in the enterprise and the marriage. Inspirational.
