  1. I’m sorry but both Kurt Cobain as well as Nirvana are without a doubt overrated, that’s not to say they weren’t an incredible band, obviously they were. Why they’re overrated is due to how much they overshadow all other bands from that era, the most clear cut example of a band who deserves the same respect and admiration that Nirvana gets to this day is Alice ‘n Chains.

Anyone with a brain who is a fan of that style of music would say without a doubt Layne was just as talented a singer as Kurt as well as being the better lyricist.

Does that mean he’s a better front man than Cobain or that they’re a better band than Nirvana? No, no it does not. What it actually means is yes, regardless of their talent Kurt and Nirvana are overrated and that’s obviously true because they are the only grunge group that the public (and occasionally mainstream media) cares enough to talk about.

If Kurt overdosed we wouldn’t be having this conversation, the mystery surrounding his death was something that turned him into a mythical figure of sorts and thanks to that Nirvana will never ever be out of the public consciousness.

  2. Just questioning miself, but the word "overrated "it not used wrong? 🤔 Underestimated? Idk just think that, for me overrated and Underestimated depends of the artist and my conception about it, for a long time i just found the word" overrated " wrong….

I need to sleep more, have a great day 👋😂

  3. I feel like people overrated tupac a bit. Hes definitely one of the greatest, but people act like he was a god of hiphop. Like even with my comment im sure someone reading this will take a ton of offense no matter how nice i make this comment. He is a great but there are talents that are on his level and some are even greater depending on what makes a rapper a goat to you.

  4. Kanye even old Kanye. Though there is some producer talent there you can really feel the aggrogance ooz from his music and not in like the little Wayne way. How genius he thinks his is for songs like lift yourself is giving Andy Warhol real hard and Warhol wasn't a real artist.

  5. The most overrated by far, by far… like is Drake who clearly knows some one rich who maybe has a few oil fields or oil companies. Cause srsly drake has some rich friends who can just pay entire populations of forced sweat shop laborers in the far east to just repeat the songs to make em instant hits. He’s boring, he’s not the moment… he’s never actually ever been the moment, he hasn’t even made a rememberable song. I don’t know anyone who listens to drake seriously, I don’t know anywhere that plays drake music… he has rich friends who won’t let his career die of natural causes the mfers career is on life support and drakes a potato being baked wrapped in golden foil, while everyone else is like damn drakes alive? I thought he OD’d

  6. J Cole is easily digestible to main stream audiences, you don’t have to sit down with the records as much as you do with artists like JID, Joey and others in that vein which, I know this is going to be hard to hear, is how MOST people listen to music btw. He’s not overrated, you’re just a music snob
