We Have Fallout At Home | 10 Years After Game Review

Welcome to Steam Sequence, a series where I attempt to play and review as many Steam games in alphabetical order as possible to sort the Trash from the Treasure.
This means that I’m playing through all the terrible games so that you don’t have to.
Please enjoy my suffering.

In case you’re wondering, Steam organizes games starting with punctuation first, then numbers, and then the actual alphabet. It may be some time before I reach the letter “A” on my journey!

  1. This is definitely a victim of aiming way too high. Though for me not even a rework could save that tiny font. Even when the editor zoomed in, it was very hard to read said text! It would probably still be hard to read even with my glasses.

  2. There’s no shame in making an unfinished project but there is shame in making that project cost money while leaving it to rot with zero updates or the slightest bit of attention from the dev team. It’s literally been almost a decade since the game dropped and in that time I’d expect the handlers to at the very least make it free if they had no plans to actually do anything with the project because what they have now is barely worth free let alone $5.99

  3. Another thing I wish small devs would quit trying to do is to make the NEXT whatever. That thing you're trying to rip off already exists. It's always going to be a million times more popular than yours. I get that you're trying to ride a wave, or you're inspired, but if – as much as is possible – you try to make the FIRST instead of the NEXT your project is going to be infinitely more memorable, not negatively compared, and much less likely to just get lost in the mix. At the very least, if you feel compelled to make your own version of an existing property, highlight and focus on what makes your version different.

  4. I think you could not make the next Fallout 3 alone, however time has shown you can make Fallout 1 or 2 style game (in 2d) alone or a small team. It just takes a lot of work over a long period of time.

  5. I've suddenly recalled that I found this channel about a year ago, around its beginning. Do you plan to celebrate a year of your journey along the alphabetical list, with some collection of funniest moments or reminding viewers about hidden gems you've already found?

  6. oh I know 10,000,000 (the preview game). It's fun, and in my opinion one of the better match 3 puzzle types. There's a second game by that dev called You Must Build A Boat which expands the mechanics.

  7. From reading the steam reviews of the game, it seems like the game had actual potential at launch and the devs were communicative. But whenever the sale happened to the new company they replaced it with this garbage of a new version and then left it abandoned after a lot of people started talking about how sketchy the change of companies was. How weird.

  8. This quite frankly looks more like a browser clone of Stalker.
Not unlike "Survival" which was kind of browser version of Tarkov years before Tarkov.

Always appreciate seeing (insert bethesda game) killers, as i don't think i've seen one that managed to match them yet.
