We Drive This Once Abandoned 1948 Ford School Bus To A Classic Car Cruise In Junction City Oregon!

I Found this 1948 Ford F5 School Bus Abandoned in the forest. I was able to get it running and driving, then took it on a epic journey. Now in this video we do a few repairs and then drive it to Junction City. We enter it in a classic car cruise and have a blast!

  2. Get the bus under a roof and keep it dry and well ventilated.Tarps and covers will accelerate corrosion. Then relax and donโ€™t worry about the leaks etc.Iโ€™ve got a โ€˜48 f1 with all the same issues as the bus,itโ€™s garage kept and I get to it as Iโ€™m inclined to.Y block needs more frequent oil changes to keep the oil passages clean, sounds like your doing that right.Good job on the presentation and content.

  4. Great job with the Bus Jason ! I think you should improve your watertight integrity ( Cowl repairs , window replacement, door repairs ) as time and money allows. Perhaps a portable shelter to keep it in out of the weather which would allow you to work on it . I have three of these shelters and they are a great " Poor Mans " garage. Thanks for your videos.

  5. If both ends of the crossover pipe do not mate to their respective manifold surfaces without forcing the mating surfaces to seat together with the force of the nuts… it will stress the ends of the manifolds and cause the manifolds to crack. Next time you work on it take an honest assessment of how well each end of the crossover pipe gits flush just holding by hand. If either end has a gapn cut the tube and rotate each end to mate without force to its manifold then reward the tube. Or else you will eventually have another broken manifold
