Russia is actually losing way more then ukraine. But I feel that the russian dude makes small things way bigger then they are. Its just how I feel.

  24. I find the argument that russia invaded ukraine over nato completely unconvincing. The usa obviously has no territorial expansion plan vis a vis russia. If anything, american politics has been shifting in an anticolonial direction for years, especially after all thr failed policies in the middle east. The only thing ive been able to come up with as an actual driver for this is a) they need crimea to dominate shipping b) they need ukraine generally because of giant hogweed (https://youtu.be/u5NxuEoXHn8?si=LIjuyatvCw8bNYw1). It has destroyed russian agriculture, and they are going to be facing serious food production shortfalls, if they cant figure out what to do about it. Ukraine is the breadbasket of europe, and russia is searching for bread, after destroying their ability to make their own. Sadly, global cooperation is becoming more and more of a dream, even though it will be required to solve this and other crises precipitated by catastrophic climate change. War will only seal the fate of men and hasten our demise.
