Never played a souls game before and plan on playing Elden Ring? Watch this.
Elden Ring is bringing lots of new players to the genre. Many will go in having a somewhat warped mindset due to the image Dark Souls has, being the “hardest game ever”. While the souls games can be difficult, they are not unbeatable. There is actually a lot more freedom in these games than most people think. Here are my personal opinions and advice for new players.

Thank you this'll help me very much cause I've never played dark souls. I know it might sound funny but in game is there anything like a hidden class ro something?
Appreciate the advice, this will deff be my first souls game💯
You can’t turn off the invading system?
What's better
Warrior or magician
Sorry for you new players expecting something easier than Dark Souls. You may be having an easy time until you turn that corner and there I am, invading you, ready to clap those cheeks.
i think there’s transmog in the game now so the armor stat > cool looking armor problem won’t be a problem anymore (as i said, i am not 100% sure if the game will have transmog.)
You got my sub simply by saying play the game how you want.👊.great vid tnx.
New to Souls games but I like a challenge. Conquered Cuphead and Super Meat Boy all achievements. MHW was my first monster hunter in 2018 and quickly outranked my friends. I'm not scared of Elden Ring. It should fear me.
Never played a Soulsgame. (That boogeyman thing.) I want to play this one.
I think I may need an even more beginner video when it comes to these games. Every attempt I’ve made in this genre(?), the time cost versus reward balance hasn’t been satisfying to me. They are very pretty games, though.
New to the genre and I’m excited to play and learn through this game with my homie who is good at these games. I’ll definitely be coming back to this channel for help lol.
I played DS1, and what drove me away from DS3 was mostly the levels, not the bosses. I did play a bit but after a while going through the zones was just pain and not enjoyable. It was enjoyable on my first DS1 run, but after that it just felt annoying. It is definitely designed to kill you until you learn where everything is on a certain level. I understand why it is fun though. But in my personal experience the only boss that was problematic was O&S (i understand DS3 bosses are way better designed and generally harder).
I have quit both Dark Souls 1, and Sekiro after about 3 hours of play. I have not played 2, 3 or Bloodborne…. Something about Elden Ring is calling me to try again. I just don't have a lot of time to play video games and all the suffering that goes into these games makes it hard to have any fun with the little time I have. I will take your advice to heart when I give ER a try. Here goes….
This game is for aggots…
New to Souls games. I'm giving this a shot and I'm ready to take my time and enjoy everything possible. Fuck PvP though.
I recently just got back into gaming so I've never played a Souls game, surprisingly just found a PS5 last week, and I just bought this after seeing all the glowing review today!
So yes this video is for me!
can i play co op with my friends
Based take
If you're never played a souls game do the following – Do not attempt to hurt yourself after being smote violently for the 387th time in the last hour.
https://youtu.be/uEOYOZRXCxM Listen I know tips and such can be similar, but I think this guy straight up jacked your video. It's almost the same word for word. I clicked on it after this hoping for some different tips and was like..ummm I just watched this.
