Sorry Steve but I watched and listened for 16 minutes but had to stop! The repetitive tones/notes were causing me to lose track of your story lines. The sounds are worse than a ticking clock. I'll try a other time but can't tame anymore of this posting.

I think some people go through depersonalisation or disassociate and lose their memory temporarily.

I read some articles on Tedford & his wife Pearl. She called her mom every day. So even if she left him, she'd probably take refuge with her mom, as a woman, especially back then would have under those circumstances. But she took no money, no purse or UD, not even her open pack of cigarettes. How much more "wrong" could the locals be about her reason for leaving?
I strongly believe Margaret tried to get out and fell that 400 feet down, getting severely injured herself.
That would explain both her later death and her location. I was a bit surprised they never pondered this ..
