  1. It's very repetitive, combat is not very engaging it's either spam left click or shoot. Progression in the beta left alot to be desired. Only 4 classes that all have very similar abilities. Darktide feels like a step back from Vermintide 2.

I think the environment being really dark is an aesthetic choice, so to avoid altering that, I recommend they just increase the flashlight brightness so at least we can see clearly within the circle of the flash light. If you look at l4d2 clips that how they did it with dark areas. Forr really long range, i have no clue what to suggest.

  4. About the range complaint. Did you remember to turn on your rifle light? Your personal light is always on, but you have to actively turn on your rifle light which is surprisingly strong, but narrow. Never had any issue picking up targets when it was on, regardless of the distance. The dot reticle became an issue before the lighting at that point

  5. sharpshooter's skills also highlight specials even through a wall, helping you spot specials behind a wall or in the middle of the crown and equip your range weapon immediately.

    And flashlight lasgun and autogun have a more powerful flashlight that you use a special action button to activate which helps with the visibility of the sharpshooter class a lot.

  6. It's easy to take for granted that when something feels too challenging, it's a game design issue.

    One example is shooting enemies further in the distance on dark maps, it's hard but it's a legit obstacle to overcome and adapt in the game. Not easy to see but it's easier if you practice spotting sillouettes and the fact that they leave lasgun trails behind all the time seals the deal that you at least have a chance to retaliate immediately.

  8. As a long time VT2 player with over 1,200 hours, disconnects and connection issues are par for the course for a Fatshark game. VT2 has had disconnection issues since April and they haven't done anything about it.

  9. i've played 42.7 hours so far and honestly, despite all the HORRIBLE loss-package and rubber banding that I and my friends got, I still found it TOP NOTCH. I didn't particularly find the gunplay as "a mess" imo, I mean sure, sometimes you can't see anything, but the SUPPRESSION system made it so that the guns play quite a big part, shoot at them for several shots blindly to make them go into cover and run at them with melee. I have spent 1.2+k hours in Vermintide 2 so I have 0 problem with engaging enemies in melee combat.
    I don't want to sound like an elitist but I suppose the people who REALLY have the toughest time with gunplay are ones who sorta…want to keep to their guns, and barely know much about the melee mechanics, which is fine but…well, seeing a zealot preacher with a thunder hammer, spamming M1 at hordes, getting slapped around without blocking is something else. Or just refuse to part with their autogun when face to face with a horde is quite something.

  10. There is a feat that does so the ult highlights specials for the whole team. I would say its one of the best abilities in the game in terms of awerness.

    Also, the special ability on the lasguns are litteraly a flashlight to see in dark areas 😅
