  1. I live near Hazelton, PA (just outside of Scranton). A good friend of mine tried his hand at pro wrestling for a while starting around 10 or so years ago, trying to make it in the local indie scene. He said he was once given the opportunity to train at Afa’s gym near Hazelton and said what a nice guy he was and that he gained valuable experience training there. Sad to see that both Afa and Sika have passed. May they rest in peace.

  2. 10:00 Brian and Jim forgot the Guerreros. Gory, Chavo, Hector, Mando, Eddie, and Chavo Jr. That's six not counting Vickie or Eddie's daughter.

10:37 There's five in the Rock's family if you count Ava. Peter Maivia, Rocky Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Dwayne, and Ava.

  3. Losing Afa and Sika only a few months after each other shows just how close they were as brothers. My heart out to the entire family to still beable to go out there and perform. We also continue so see how much of a moron Meltzer is, trying to get a hot scoop. RIP Afa and thank you.

  4. For anyone wondering about the other Anoa'i members that weren't named in the video:
L.A. Smooth – Afa's son, wrestled on the indies, including ECW
Lance Anoa'i – son of Samu, had a match with Shane McMahon on RAW once
Sean Maluta – Afa's nephew through his wife, appeared in WWE's Cruiserweight Classic in 2016
Gary Albright – married to Afa's daughter Monica
Black Pearl – son of another brother to Afa and Sika, wrestled on the indies
Journey Fatu – brother of Jacob Fatu, wrestled on the indies, including MLW
Zilla Fatu – son of Umaga, recently debuted for Booker T's promotion
Thamiko Fatu – older brother of the Usos, wrestles on the indies

Also, from the Maivia side of the family:
Ava Raine – daughter of The Rock, the general manager on NXT
Nia Jax – grandaughter of Peter Maivia's uncle
Toa Maivia – son of Peter Maivia, wrestled for Afa's WXW promotion in the 2000s
Peter Maivia Jr. – alleged son of Peter Maivia, wrestled at least once in the 80s

  5. What is Robert Fuller Brian's father in law or something? The LUNACY to insinuate……? I couldn't care less if they had triple the amount of wrestlers in The Fuller Family, not one of them could touch what Jacob Phatu has done. Never mind The Rock and Roman Reigns.

  6. Growing up in Baltimore, I got to see the Wild Samoans often. They were ferocious, monster heels and all us kids feared them, as the beat the actual shadow off everybody unlucky enough to get in the ring with them.
I was fortunate enough to see that one time greatest tag team battle for the ages, when USAPro booked the Samoans vs the Road Warriors at the Civic Center. The stiffness was amazing and Afa and Sika were actually faces in that testament to No-Selling.
They were the only wrestlers you believed could legit beat Andre the Giant, when he was undefeated.
    May they rest in peace.
