I wonder how creepy it will be if we were to see Aqir Centipedes? The typical centipede can wrap itself around prey item, so this will be a huge disadvantage for player characters.
Imagine that due to the mantids' increase of strength after each swarm that a paragon wakes up to find, he's only as strong as your average foot soldier
They didnt betray anyone. They was loyal to Old Gods for (probably) millions of years, and stay loyal for at least 147 000 years after they gone. And was pretty clear in their goal. They not generally evil, they evil for young races, as young races and their gods is pure evil for them. For them, THIS world is corrupt by this new devils, called themself gods and their countless followers of new races, who they most likely see as "uninsect" abominations. They live in postapocalypse for eternity and still have their hopes and faith.
Man I love MoP lore, it was so cool to bring back Y'shaarj in form of 7 different beings and actually kill them one after another throughout the expansion. It gave lot of the content a nice continuation and more investment than say the current last boss of Abberus raid who's name i can't even remember, and he's seemingly communicating/drawing power from some old gods which should be pretty damn exciting, yet i'd rather fight another Sha or Sha-controlled mantid.
The entire Mists expansion didn't get the respect it deserved. It was easily one of the best expansions we've gotten but people didn't like the Chinese aesthetic and hopped on a huge bandwagon of hating on the expac.
it's so weird how multiple writers(specially the older ones and the earlier Warcraft Books writers)have written lots of amazing and detailed Lore and World Building(one of Warcraft's biggest strengths was always having quantity and decent quality at the same time, whether if it's the diversity of zones, races, cultures, events, history and many different interesting characters)and now Blizzard just writes the story like they don't have any of this which is terrible because what they're doing is not interesting and not only it doesn't feel like Warcraft but you can see the contrast between how uninteresting their new stuff and characters are compared to what it was before
I remember how cool that was when you were taken down into that chamber and to have him tell you "we're cool, but if the old gods come back we will turn on you." A very cool subtle and ominous warning for the future.
Once you bring cosmic powers into equation with literally an embodiment of Death, or fighting Titians and having leaks of the Light Invasion, it's really difficult to pay attention to some insects.
Well, except for the very few remaining Klaxxi (if they're even still alive), the mantid culture has been pretty much erased. I don't think you come back from that except maybe as a minor threat. Which is a shame because they are pretty memorable.

Everytime BFA is brought up I can't help but think there could've been at least 3 well made expansion instead of the shitshow we got.

The Klaxxi are dope, I loved doing their dailies. Freeing the Paragon's was super fun.
the ones in Dragon Isles are literal beasts
At least mantids didn't suffered the same fate as nerubians.
Warcraft game that everyone forgot about.

boring
the Klaxxi stuff in MOP was so fun tbh, from their aesthetics, to their lore, it was all fun
Dragonflight lore kek
Now I want a klaxxi as a neutral allied race

Forgot how irrelevant these guys were since MoP.
