  1. You were very lucky with your food options. We were at Port Orleans Riverside. The restaurant closed Tues afternoon , there were 1008 rooms, all full, all trying to eat at the food court with limited food options. 2 hr wait in lines for food and the food court didn’t open until 11 am Wed. Food, snacks and most soft beverages sold out by Tues afternoon in the gift shop. We just arrived on Tuesday for the start of our trip, so we didn’t let the situation get us down.

  4. So funny that you guys were here for Ian. I live 5 miles west of Disney in a mobile home so I stayed 3 nights at my best friends sturdy strong house 😊 My little house did very well through the storm but I, like you are very sad for those on the coast. It was very bad for them. The Disney resorts are definately the place to be during hurricanes. I'm happy to see how well you were taken care of. 😊

  7. Very fun non park vlog. You guys are blessed to be able to enjoy a deluxe resort especially during a hurricane. During this time the food, entertainment and other perks are nill at value resorts even moderates don't offer much.

  8. Adam Hattan was in a resort then as well. I live 2 hrs from Orlando, and we had hard rain and wind for 3 days, but never lost power. I'm so enjoying this series 🌴 πŸŽ„

  9. You're safest at WDW during a hurricane because they have their own electricity and water and plenty of food. You won't have to worry about blackouts or running out of food, water, or fuel at the Speedway petrol stations on WDW property. The resorts are built above and beyond storm regulations. And during a state declared emergency, dogs are allowed. Room rates during a hurricane are often lower. I'd much rather stay at WDW than Universal during a hurricane because Disney World has the important infrastructure. Thank you for sharing your Ian experience!

  10. Guys, it's pronouned 'guyser" okay you were driving me nuts. So that's sorted. When you were posting you were in WDW and the Hurricane was coming and I knew you were going to be fine. At the same time you were there the crew from WDW News was hunkering down at Wilderness Lodge reporting they were have a GREAT time. While you were in WL I was watching the Kennedy Space Center and the fate of the Artemis Rocket in the VAB riding out the storm. I was watching the water to see just how bad it got and it wasn't that bad at KSC. You had a good spot to ride out a storm πŸ™‚

  11. If you are part of the hurricane ride out crew, you do get extra benefits. One of them is that you get paid from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. So if you are there for 72 hours, you get paid for all 72 hours. Also, if you have family that lives with you that needs a place to stay, they can come to the resort and stay with you while you work.

  12. Just because you could walk around the resort you were still foolish to do so as you could easily have slipped or fell and put further and un-necessary stress on the emergency services. I've watched you for years and think you are both brilliant but felt this was off the mark.

  13. Thank you for vloging your experience during the hurricane. I've heard that Disney is one of the safest places to be during the event of a hurricane. Not only are you taken care of by cast members, but you are kept well informed, safe and dry. And entertained! Glad you "weathered" the storm!
