Yayyy got my snacks ready letβs go!
Glad you were all safe and you looked very comfortable. Thanks for blog π
Stay safe Luke and Richard dreaming family and enjoy your vacation during hurricane Ian season .
Never been in a disney resort before but the staff seem amazing and so helpful during the hurricane. Also how did lukes mum and grandparents find the experience ?
Great vlog π€©
You were very lucky with your food options. We were at Port Orleans Riverside. The restaurant closed Tues afternoon , there were 1008 rooms, all full, all trying to eat at the food court with limited food options. 2 hr wait in lines for food and the food court didnβt open until 11 am Wed. Food, snacks and most soft beverages sold out by Tues afternoon in the gift shop. We just arrived on Tuesday for the start of our trip, so we didnβt let the situation get us down.
Thanks guys, watching this was both exciting and a bit scary! Glad everyone was ok. What a unique experience for you all! Thanks for sharing!β€
Thanks for sharing this experience
Looks like you were all very well looked after which is great π. We got confirmation for our stay in Beach Club Villa today for our stay in September, we are so excited ππΊπΈ
That receipt was only as long as the average CVS receipt, or one of your Bath and Body receipts
Hi guys thank you for sharing what turned into a very informative vlog, we have done 3 hurricanes in the past once delayed 3 days before we could take off, Disney seemed to look after you very well, stay safe Andy and Vonnie Ps we really missed the rest of the family in the vlog
Enjoyed the episode guys glad that the hurricane wasn't too stressful an event for you all. Look forward to the next vLog!
So quick question. If you get stuck in a hurricane like this, do you get your money back if you have park reservations? And or get a discount on your hotel?
Great episode.
Try to time it so you Guys get a hurricane on every trip.πππ€£
So funny that you guys were here for Ian. I live 5 miles west of Disney in a mobile home so I stayed 3 nights at my best friends sturdy strong house π My little house did very well through the storm but I, like you are very sad for those on the coast. It was very bad for them. The Disney resorts are definately the place to be during hurricanes. I'm happy to see how well you were taken care of. π
Great to see how you went through the hurricane as a tourist/resort guest . Very informative and your spirits we high . You survived and I have been looking forward to this Vlog. Merry Christmas to you both and all your family
Tuna sandwich π₯ͺ anyone lol, must of been a worried about what could happen, uneasy situation but safe so that was good π ππ ππ¦πΊπββοΈ
Those are my salt and pepper shakers at my house. LOL
Very fun non park vlog. You guys are blessed to be able to enjoy a deluxe resort especially during a hurricane. During this time the food, entertainment and other perks are nill at value resorts even moderates don't offer much.
Hey π€ Iβm glad you were all safe and well looked after. Thanks for sharing your experience with us π₯° xxx
The Smuckers jingle is "With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good!"
Hurricane Ian was so much fun right?! We were stunk in our apartment for 2 and a half days
Adam Hattan was in a resort then as well. I live 2 hrs from Orlando, and we had hard rain and wind for 3 days, but never lost power. I'm so enjoying this series π΄ π
Love seeing you guys have fun π Merry Christmas Luke and Rich
You're safest at WDW during a hurricane because they have their own electricity and water and plenty of food. You won't have to worry about blackouts or running out of food, water, or fuel at the Speedway petrol stations on WDW property. The resorts are built above and beyond storm regulations. And during a state declared emergency, dogs are allowed. Room rates during a hurricane are often lower. I'd much rather stay at WDW than Universal during a hurricane because Disney World has the important infrastructure. Thank you for sharing your Ian experience!
Guys, it's pronouned 'guyser" okay you were driving me nuts. So that's sorted. When you were posting you were in WDW and the Hurricane was coming and I knew you were going to be fine. At the same time you were there the crew from WDW News was hunkering down at Wilderness Lodge reporting they were have a GREAT time. While you were in WL I was watching the Kennedy Space Center and the fate of the Artemis Rocket in the VAB riding out the storm. I was watching the water to see just how bad it got and it wasn't that bad at KSC. You had a good spot to ride out a storm π
Phew! Guess you can cross Disney in a hurricane off your bucket list now π glad yβall were all ok and had a good time considering π
If you are part of the hurricane ride out crew, you do get extra benefits. One of them is that you get paid from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. So if you are there for 72 hours, you get paid for all 72 hours. Also, if you have family that lives with you that needs a place to stay, they can come to the resort and stay with you while you work.
This was great. Really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. Luie from Pennsylvania.β€πππ π»πΊπΈ
Just because you could walk around the resort you were still foolish to do so as you could easily have slipped or fell and put further and un-necessary stress on the emergency services. I've watched you for years and think you are both brilliant but felt this was off the mark.
really enjoyed this vlog, nice to see what you can do when the parks arenβt open!
And because the parks close during the hurricane they bring the characters to resorts to keep every one calm
I love just HANGIN OUT w you guys! Thank you for sharing your travels!!!!!!!
Thank you for vloging your experience during the hurricane. I've heard that Disney is one of the safest places to be during the event of a hurricane. Not only are you taken care of by cast members, but you are kept well informed, safe and dry. And entertained! Glad you "weathered" the storm!
I'm glad you all stayed safe during the hurricane.
