One thing I’ll give to them and all game developers, is the fact that when they reboot a game it’s not gonna be the same as the original. Why? Bcs alot of ppl on there team have already made a game like that. How would you feel ig gor every subject in school you got the same homework assignment the exactly same questions everytime, would that bring you joy? Would that give you motivation to go to school. Inspite of how trash the game they delivered was I respect them enough for not doing what they did 17 years ago.
My ex-gf pre ordered this game for me as well an OG in the series been playing since SR1. Honestly after watching this, I feel glad that I didn't get a copy to see how terrible it is lmao Volition did it themselves. Maybe modders or another studio will pick up where Volition left off.
The point of "GTA Clone" is actually just as simple as first person shooter when it first came out, it was called as "Doom Clone", I don't think your point there is significant tho.

Probably the biggest fumble in gaming history. I remember around the time of the reveal trailer, people were discontent with Rockstar. When I heard there was going to be a Saints Row REBOOT, it was the prefect opportunity. No GTA6 for another couple years and people are craving open world games like Saints Row and GTA and they gave us this. If only it was an actual reboot of the original Saints, this would’ve been very successful but instead they got shut down lmaooo
They fell off, and now they're gone. Good riddance.

And honestly they deserve it, if they werent so gullible they would've handed it over to another studio but thats what happens when you steal money out of people's pockets and turn on the idea of whats best for the community, i bet even Rockstar themselves are laughing at it themselves so its no suprise for its backlash they shouldve just scrapped it to work onto making a new story but this is pure Karma

It became Wokelution, GTA IV is still my favorite game of all time but Saints row 1 and 2 are a close second and third. Port the first and remaster it and you like said remake 2.

A good concept of a reboot should’ve been a combination of the first and second games. Just like with the division 2 after you beat all enemy factions the next faction blacktusks takes over something like that. Like after you beat the first saints game it then restarts to the second game.
Meanwhile the fans of Disney, Warner Bros, Sony, Microsoft, and their owned/stolen IPs and subsidiaries like LucasFilm with star wars/Indiana Jones marvel with the defenders/avengers+ DC and the justice league+, insomniac games and ratchet and clank, telltale games and the walking dead+. We are all sitting here wearing our "without respect, we reject" t-shirts holding these companies a double bird salute, both physically and with our wallets and to you the displaced fans of these woke wankers we say "join the club we got t shirts and a purpose" that purpose is boycott these companies until they either take the hint or go out of business, whichever comes first.

The saints row 2 customization sucked tho. They scaled back the clothing from Saints Row 1 and they did it better in saints row the third, the clothes looked so cheap and lazy, the houses you can buy are all the same when you buy the pimp decorations, they gave us unlimited ammo after completing certain activities and it made the game easy, mayhem was a pain in the ass cause of those one shot kill attack copters, hardcore isn’t even that hard to beat and only thing it adds is gang running over ya and you instantly die, the drug trafficking activity sucked cause the driver keeps getting their car fucked up by speeding through traffic, and the activities cutscenes were garbage! The cutscenes were in game and not animated at all, just standing there or sitting there, the main game cutscenes were animated perfectly so why not do the same for activities!? Also the sword fighting boss fights were shit and slow! Why the fuck would the boss care about honor when killing Jyunnichi? This should be the scene where in GTA SA he gives you a katana and then you shoot him in the face with a shotgun, the boss would say “Fuck honor!”
Don’t get me wrong, Saints 2 does hold a special place in my heart imo it’s the weakest in terms of gameplay and customization. The story is awesome tho.
Volition made Saints row reboot to appeal to “modern sensibilities”. I keep saying this and my friend has talked about this, volition had a way out by brining the old crew back with the time machine ending from saints 4 but they chose to die on that hill.

I think its interesting that the budgets of entertainment have ballooned but the quality has tanked. I feel like a lot of people are just getting rich and then using "anti woke outrage" to justify why the project failed

Personally I like SR 3 and 4 better then 1 and 2 because 1 and 2 were too much like GTA and yes I have played 1 and 2, although I didn't finish them because they were too much like GTA and GTA is my least favorite open word game series. There's a reason SR3 is the best selling game of the franchise….
