  1. Hey Jess 🥰 I loveeee your content. Been watching for years but I don’t think I’ve ever made a comment until now 🤔. Lol! Hope this meets you. I wanted to comment on the paying before service situation. I’m an entrepreneur myself (balloon artist) and I’ve been in business for 2 years. Mannn about 3 weeks ago a client truly tried to “NOT” pay me for my services and she also got physical with me. I think her intentions were bad from the beginning I just didn’t know. I charged her $570 for her balloon installations for her event and she paid the $100 deposit the week prior. But, once I completed the work for the event she thanked me and told me she loved it. She even asked me to do more balloons the same day before I would leave. I told her I’d come back to do any additional work that wasn’t in the initial contract and that I needed her to pay and honor the initial contract by paying the $470 balance for that so it’s paid in full since I completed the work. She said “okay”. She never paid (Zelle/cashapp) me. So the next day I went to the event prior to the start time to collect and she said I’ll give you cash later tonight when you come back to take the balloons and get your equipment. I came back and she still didn’t want to pay me 😫😳😠. She even grabbed me. 😳🤦🏾‍♀️ once I told her I would take her to court she then pulled the money out and gave it to me. Ever since then I changed my contract. Unfortunately, due to this one experience all future clients have to pay in full prior to any balloon installments.

I contemplated on this so hard because I refuse to pay for a service that I haven’t received yet myself. Why in the world would i do such a thing lol. However, I believe in what I do and what I can and am going to do and my clients have to trust that I’ll do it. It’s policy now to pay in full prior to me actually laboring. I don’t like that I had to make this rule but I did. my mom suggested it and another event planner gave me this advice also. So I went with it. I think I may have even went to God about this also. But I understood you when you was in ahh 😯 about that.

Someone may have sat in her chair and got a head full of braids and then ran off with the payment. Not fair to everyone else to have to pay first but 🤷🏾‍♀️.

Sorry for the novel ☝🏾😂😂. Enjoy your day beautiful!

  2. I got married at 44…aand yeah the comparing thing was the issue…but after about 30 I was so ready to be single for good and I was cool with it…but then it happened and I'm glad I waited.

  3. At times as women we put out lives on hold waiting to get married to be like " Oh me and my husband" did this or that…make a list of all the things God wants you to and do them….single.
