I adore your porch. Living in England that’s my idea in my head of how all American homes are 😊

Molly is so precious! The book u are reading is my kind of book! living in Alaska! would love it. have a lovely day Kate!
Loved the Molly story!
Have you ever made your own granola ? I do this all the time. Lots of great recipes on Pinterest. I never buy cereal anymore.
So proud of u! Keeping a family of 4 fed and nourished on $700/month is amazing❤ CA free health/dental sure helps out too.
My kiddo is in her 20’s and I do everything. I have multiple jobs. I am also a crafter. Super woman 💪😊 That’s the way it goes. Now I just really need a vacation. It’s been awhile.
I love love love Molly’s story of making it big!!! Yall manifested this beautiful life together!! I can so relate. “They’ll say this and you say that.”😂😂😂🙌🌅🙌🌀
Thank you for sharing your story of Molly with us! Not unusual at all, our lives are filled with wonderful dogs, if we’re lucky we get one or two which we have a deep cosmic connection with, a soul tie. Molly is yours💜. My sweet girl Gypsy is mine💜. Thank you for sharing Kate🐶
I am so far behind on videos! Its been a season. Hahaha who is moriah?! Ive obviously missed a bunch!
Your front porch is so cute. Your patio wicker chars and table are pretty. You should repaint them. Hanging plants in baskets would look great! Yard is looking great! It all takes time and one thing at a time! Lol
Hi Kate! I love this video! I have a question! Did you have to put a down payment on the house you are in? Did the bank ask about your income? Is property taxes really high in your area? I’m just loving your videos’ about money and being truthful about your life and expenses. Do you earn a lot on your book sales? I’m hoping someday I can buy your books. Thank you for having a great sense of humor and being honest with your community. It is greatly appreciated! 🙏❤️👍🏼
Hi Kate and everyone in this community!
I absolutely love this video!
Amy Dacyczyn was the best!!
I remember watching her on the Phil Danahue show! It was 1990. My husband was in the Army. We were stationed in Washington state.
I was glued to the TV! I took notes! Then I signed up for her newsletter, The Tightwad Gazette! I still have all of them.
My husband was going to retire in 1996 from the Army. I wanted a house to own. So I did a lot of that those newsletters had in them.
Amy was even in the Parade magazine , and I have that still too.
In the big fat Blue book, of hers, I have a success story on page 981, top right hand of the page is my letter to Amy.. In 1993, We got stationed at the Army Depot near Hermiston, OR. So in 6 year all together, we were resdy to buy a home with 25% down. We paid off 8 maxed out credit cards. And bought a used vehicle with cash. I never could have don it without Amy and her newsletters.
I love the story of how you got Molly Girl! That was when I found you! You had just gotten her! I think it was you took her to the vet? Not really sure, but you talked about her in your car.
I pulled out the big fat Blue book of Amys and I’ll be reading it again fir the agzillion time!
We have 1 credit card and our mortgage to pay off. It’s time to buckle down and get them paid off to be debt free once and for all!
I so enjoyed this video!😊🙃
Take Care Singh Family!
🌻🤎🌻🤎🌻🤎
I have had the worst week it started out first I smashed into my husband work truck . Then I broke my mother in-laws stove then I spilled a big jug of yogurt on my kitchen mat. So now I’m watching your videos drinking wine lol
What a great video chat! You are very inspiring. Thank you for coming back!!🤗
You made me laugh so hard with your Molly story.
They are called the trad wife (traditional). Yes it goes too far with the women being submissive to their husbands. I stayed home with my two boys after having to work with my daughter. I bought the Complete Tightest Gazette in the early 2000's and implemented many things in it. Unfortunately my husband didn't like it much even though I did everything in the house besides grass cutting and shoveling. Our marriage did end in divorce when the boys were 14 and 16. He did not think anything in the house belonged to me because I didn't work. Need I say anymore. I do not regret a minute of it. I just had to pull out the Tightwad Gazette because it has been quite a few years since I read it. It is inspiring. Thanks for talking about it.
They call it ‘Trad’ wife ie Traditional wife. Yes, I think the connotation is derogatory.
Honestly Kate, we ALL need to hear this. I’ve simplified my life so much and every time I hear your message it’s encouraging and reaffirming I’m on the right track.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for being you and just saying things the way they are.
I had no clue there were so little homeowners in California, that makes me so sad 😞.
Loved this chat! I learned a lot from the Tightwad Gazette too, when my kids were young, and we downsized to one income. There was a lot of good advice and information that people today could learn from. Today the same things are being said that were said back then – both parents need to work, no one can afford to buy a house, etc. Although I must say, frugality today is a lot harder with instant shopping via Amazon available 24/7.
Who else Kates time, thank you Kate for being there fo us inspiring and teaching us al of the lovely simple frugal life❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ you help me to save and find oit myself as a person a not influenciable person that has. Beautiful life without spending a lot, because life has more Beautiful things than mone spending I am saving for my son while I enjoy my life
Trad wife….meaning traditional wife
Dinner looks wonderful and amazing
I know you said you had got burned out talking about frugality but I have to say I really enjoy it
when you do. Everything in moderation right..😆
I have quite a few books that you have recommended over the years, yours also. I just pulled out the Dear Kitchen Saints book and I'm going to reread it
My daughter and her husband have a 4-year-old. Ever since my grandson was born my son-in-law has been the stay-at-home dad. My daughter has always been able to earn more money which can support them along with my son-in-law being able to do some part-time work. My daughter was recently happy to find out she was going to be able to work at home and only go into the office once a week. She's able to come out at her lunch break and morning break and spend time with her son. It works for them😊
Oh my gosh. Found you again! Hello lady!!
Good morning ❤
Have you ever wanted to write a children's book? Molly would make a wonderful character. You could even do your own illustrations.
Ohhhhh Kate…I was thinking 🤔 if only that ancient stump in front of your house could talk! Ohhhh the stories it could tell!!!
Where we live Home Town buffet was a casualty of the pandemic. We'd go there on kids eat free night with a coupon for the adult meal!
Love your love story with Molly
Molly was a happy camper!! I make my dog's food also and add it to their kibble. Mine is different every time I make it because it just depends on what I have. Sometimes I add ground flax meal, blueberries and fresh cranberries. It's super good for them. Sometimes I make doggie pops with the fruit.
I completely don't blame you for taking down your videos. There's too many weirdos out there. It's better to be safe than sorry. You did the right thing.
I totally agree about owning your own home. It's the best thing someone could do for their future.
Love the chat! Helps me to stay on the frugal path. I also like Carla Emerys book old fashioned county living book. I need to reread it and tightwad gazette!! I’m working part time so I can be home with my teen. Quit full time work in 2005 to homeschool and raise my kids. Had to be frugal and money wise!
Shoot! I was so excited to check that book out and read it, but as you tell the plot of the story I realize I have already read it several years ago. Darn it! I have such a hard time finding good books that really keep my attention. I was hoping this would be one. It IS a really good book though! I wouldn’t have remembered all these years later if it wasn’t a good read.
I completely understand about not showing your kiddos. But I am glad that I got to see their sweet faces in your old videos and hearing their rants on dinosaurs or correcting you on something in the background. 😂😂❤❤
None of those are Tupperware. Just plastic ware
Your spider plants on the porch are beautiful.
I actually just started reading the great alone thanks to you. It's an interesting one.
You make me laugh..I love it!
Book one of TTWG got me through early parenthood. There was no book 2 and 3. I found it priceless, getting it from the library over and over. I recently went to get it from the library again as I'm newly retired and guess what? I now have time but no money 😂! All they had in the system was the Complete. I find it way too big and too much information at once. I did find some gems in the later books so I went to thrift books and got all three separate for less than they had the complete book, including shipping. I look forward to revisiting it at my own pace. I only had the library copy three weeks as someone else was waiting on it. But yes, that is my bible and all it takes is a little imagination to get some of the old ideas up to speed. I just recently found you via a free book you wrote and I am enjoying the long chatty vlogs. I also purchase a hard copy of your porch book which will be here Thursday. I look forward to it.
Thanks Kate 💐
