  1. I was one of those first Macintosh owners of 40 years ago. The graphic user interface is what hooked me. But I soon became disappointed with all the limitations: only 128k of RAM, only 2 programs at first and they came on 4 floppy disks (the 3 & 1/2 inch disks couldn't hold a whole program) which meant constant disk swaps. Then later, I was one of the first Newton owners. That was more frustrating than the MAC. It's hand writing recognition was not ready for prime time. So Apple has taught me over the years to never be an early adopter. Its better to be an investor in the company than an eager early consumer of its products.

  2. I bought a 1T version (apple care+) and I choose the delivery date on Feb 8. I think the lens arrived late. But now the lens is on time Feb 2. I bought this because I don't want to use 2000 dollars to buy the new iPad Pro. I want to buy a new technology.

  3. I wanna see the following:
The ability to play amazing games around any area…
    1) Link Vision Pros that will be in the game
    2) Set the boundaries of the area that will be played (house, yard, gym, etc.)
    3) Choose game type and play
    > power ups (ability to go invisible, ability to shoot others/tag others, ability to see through virtual walls, etc…)

Tell me that wouldn't be awesome, playing a game with 15 other people of capture the flag, last man standing, etc… with all sorts of dynamic powerups, virtual walls, and so on.

  4. I bought a SE30 Mac about 40 years ago it changed how I did my artwork. I have photos. I realized how earth shattering this was going to be so I bought Apple Stock at every opportunity. So I’m playing with Apple Profits. YES I bought the VisionPro. It will improve and change human activities. We went through 22 Macs of every generation in our 43 years of business. We couldn’t have done it without the Mac.

  5. If we allow Apple to continue steadily increasing the prices of its technology, they will eventually charge consumers exorbitant prices like $10,000, $20,000, and even $30,000. The affordability will become out of reach for most people. Additionally, Apple releases new models of its products every year. Given this rapid rollout, is the price hike truly worth it? I strongly believe not. Therefore, we shouldn't tolerate Apple's practice of constantly inflating prices.

  6. The Think Different campaign (late 90s) and the “1984” commercial are two totally different things, and separated by over a decade. Whoever wrote this script did lazy research.

  7. All of the “no show” media companies will work fine in Safari, just like they do on macOS. Not sure why not having a native app at launch is such a big deal. They’ll arrive as soon as real people have them in their hands and demand it. Fifteen well selected influencers aren’t enough. 🙂

  8. “Vision Pro” the product is one topic . VR/AR is another. As a MetaQuest user for some years now , I’m convinced AR/VR has much potential… I use MetaQuest to experience travel with Wander & VR videos. Interactive games like put put, escape room, beat saber that I can play with people across the globe. I can even watch movies in apps like BigScreen . Again with people across the globe. I’ve seen people use AR for things like cooking and mechanics as well… and we’re just touching the surface 🤔

  9. Why CNET iPhone app doesn’t give notifications and everytime I try to sign in it says oops something went wrong try again later? I can sign in on the website or in safari but I don’t get notifications all the same the app has been last updated 11 months ago

  10. the best thing about the vision pro, the absolute best thing will be the vain, shallow, posing, superficial, pretentious narcissist that ponce around in them "cos its apple and expensive" – its going to be gloriously funny

  11. At £3500, this is a joke. Quality experience but only for a few years before a sequel comes out (the following year if history is anything to go by”). I hope this flops so that Apple does not end up raising the price of everything again by equating price with value.
