5:10:00 is the moment you're probably looking for.
Seeing vinny struggle with Radahn is super cathartic after all my attempts lol
This game DOES need a quest log. Being expected to remember where an NPC alludes they are going to be after days of adventure in-between, with no chance to hear important info (that you didn’t know was important) again sucks. I love figuring out where things are from hints and maps but at least they are written down and in your notes section. Scrambling around to find someone because they said they “live in a tower nearby” and you misremembered it as “a town nearby” is just stupid.
2:46:27 – Vinny became Derek Zoolander
2:10:25 karma for killing babby jar
A little tip, if you're ever stuck in a boss fight you don't want to be in you can go to the menu and quit the game and when you restart it'll put you outside the fog
Vinnybros, they just nerfed Bloody Slash in the patch that just came out… how are we supposed to beat the bosses now?!
Also, they added markers for NPCs on your map.
Why Binny no use torch lamp?
Vinny, the reason that weapons with high requirements appear weaker is probably because those stats are relative to your current attributes. If you were to look at them with the proper requirements, they would be much stronger.
Funny you mention a quest log the update just made it so it marks NPCS locations you find.

Really loving these chunky uploads. Also, souls """"veteran"""" here: I just wanna add that I absolutely love the way you played bloodborne, sekiro and now this. These are quickly becoming some of my favorite streams and I'm so happy that you finally get to try out some magic and actually put it to use. Don't worry, it ain't as busted as people complain, there's far worse out there; people complain just about literally everything that's not a 'big sword man' build since that's what most people play and anything else even remotely viable sounds unfathomable.
Hey steamboat, read at least the key item descriptions, you bingus, you're missing out on important info
I have an idea for a drinking game: take a shot anytime Vin blinds something.
Bruh 😲 there is a prompt on your map to show underground 😂😆
Vinny is going to be mad he can't Bloody Slash cheese anymore with the nerfs.
Wait Vinny that staff you got (The Azur) IS WAY BETTER! Once you upgrade it (and have the required stats) it way outscales the Meteor Staff (which can't be upgraded at all).
Radahn had so many redeeming qualities then they completed cashed out on a sight gag. Cool guy with cool lore, but then you get presented with a gimmick battle with annoying setup and you see a gigantic man ride a tiny horse. All respect and interest for that character completely evaporated when I saw him up close.
I find it funny how much people are overstating how overpowered magic is. Don't get me wrong, it is strong, but being massively over-leveled with a highly upgraded weapon is going to make any enemy/boss super easy. Just take a look at Vin's Rennala fight. The fight wasn't easy because it was just that easy, it was such because of his level and gear disparity. Which I truly don't mean to be harsh about (please don't take it that way), but I have to admit that seeing him melt her health bar with simple attacks did make the fight very anticlimactic and kinda boring as short as it was.
I don't mean that he needed to spend hours fighting her under-leveled or that he needed to gimp himself. I'm not someone who thinks that the only way to play the game is as naked club-man, to be clear, just that it is what it is.
I've thought about this to myself as well: that while it is nice to be able to explore most of the world without touching a single, major boss, it can lead to becoming overleveled without you even realizing it. I'm not saying that it's good or bad, just sharing my mind is all. Rennala did have a cool fight visually at least.
RIP the scythe that probably dropped right at the end but Vin was too blind to see the item drop 😂
For those struggling with Radahn, here's some tips to help alleviate the pain that worked for me:
At the start, do not use Torrent. At all! Radahn's purple arrows track hard and you will always get sniped. Sprint, dodge and summon as many people as you can. Don't worry if you miss some or they die, their summon signs reappear on the main dune during the fight.
When he starts the arrow rain, hop on Torrent and lead the arrows away from the summons running towards Radahn. That way they won't get damaged before reaching him and can survive a little longer. My strategy was to go from the right, there are dunes that protect you from the spread shots he does.
Pace your resummoning of allies. If you summon them all at once, they may die all at the same time. By delaying the summonings, you give Radahn a steady stream of fodder.
The important part: Be aggressive. Both if you are melee and ranged/magic. Do as much damage to him before phase 2. Bleed and Frost work wonders against him. Rock Sling works amazingly as well if you know sorceries since it can poise break him from afar while riding Torrent.
When he falls down from the sky, try to stay away from your summons or they will just get nuked.
During phase 2, do not wander off too far from him when he summons the floating rocks or they will trigger and chase you. And they HURT, as in, OHKO you for sure. They only protection you have against them is the main dune. The range is surprisingly fair but don't test it yourself.
His wave attack can be dodged with Torrent's double jump and he can outpace Radahn's combo string.
Use Torrent to heal when he's not aggro'd to you.
Pace summons, stay on his ass and he should die relatively quickly. He's a tough nut to crack but trust me, he's not even close to the worst this game has to offer. But he is a wall some players will struggle to pass.
Hope this helps some people out there.
Don't give up, skeleton!
Re: Cat Talisman
It is NOT bs, the item desc clearly states that it does not prevent instant death. It only prevents damage you would take if you survive a long fall.

Radahn made me respec and i put nearly all my points into vig, i had nearly 60 vig at around level 55. The game became alot less frustrating after that, no more one shots and i could actually learn the bosses moves instead of constantly seeing YOU DIED
Better Call Saul is fantastic…. It gets so good!
It's funny hearing Vinny complain about Elden Ring "quests" but I do mostly agree with him. The game could do with a quest log or some in game way to keep track of what quest steps you're on, or the last thing an NPC said. I know the recent patch at least added NPC markers on the map, so that's nice.
All the old Souls games had even more cryptic obscure bullshit that you'd never be able to figure out on your own, and it always reminded me of Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest. Even Elden Ring has some really convoluted elaborate quests with multiple failure states that I'm sure Vinny will miss out on.
Also it was really funny to see Vin respec into mostly the same build. Respecs are pretty limited in Elden Ring so I wouldn't even bother unless you have an actual build or weapon in mind. I'm really surprised he hasn't gone for Moonveil seeing as how it's the perfect weapon for his build, being a Dex/Int powerhouse and arguably the best weapon in the game even after nerfs.
Also important to know is that Caelid is split in half by the swamp. the Northeast side of the swamp (Dragonbarrow) is straight up endgame shit with INSANELY high level dungeons and enemies. Still worth going to because there's important shit there. But the Southwest portion of Caelid on the Limgrave side of the swamp is perfectly level appropriate.
Binty: kills hollow knight and gets 3080 souls
bimty: I got nothing
Vinny: "I'm gonna reroll"
rerolls 5 points and spreads them out across 4 different stats
Commenting on the long run to the boss in Sellia Crystal Tunnel right as he walks past the shortcut ladder, both times. Classic Vinny lol.
Now that Arcane scaling is fixed in the 1.03 patch, Vinny should 100% spec into Arcane and bleed damage with Eleonora's poleblade, he would absolutely LOVE that.
Double blade, blood slash.
Vinny has become Lady Maria
7:43:37 I agree that shaming people for being "casuals" is a very lame thing to do, for sure. If someone doesn't like Elden Ring, or any of the other souls games, for being too frustrating then yeah I understand. However, that can't be a knock against the game. Not that I'm saying that Vin is saying that it is, but that I've heard people say such in the past. That the game is hard for hardness sake and that it does such to forgo proper game design without you realizing it, or whatever it is. My problem is that when people shit on the Souls games it feels more like it's just not for them. Don't get me wrong, there have been genuinely frustrating fights in Elden Ring. But there's a difference between challenging and frustrating, and I know that that all just depends on the person. I'm not saying stuff like, "it's just not for them", to avoid criticism of a game I like, but it is something to take into account. Just because someone doesn't like something I like doesn't make the thing in question any less good or bad. It just is what it is. A lot of people don't like Elden Ring, and as I said that's fine, but that fact alone doesn't diminish what the game is to the people who love it. The more you try to appeal to a wider audience, I feel, the harder it is to please anyone.
I haven't watched later parts to know if Vinny beat him and I'm only 5ish hours into this one, but Radahn was stealth nerfed in the last patch. It was quite a big nerf to some of his attacks damage, and now you can actually dodge the gravity arrows on horseback which to me is a very welcome change.
I'm not sure if the nerf was overly strong yet, because my second character I just used to beat 1.03 Radahn is using an underpowered build so I basically relied on the summons lmao. At least the purple meteors don't oneshot anymore.
sad to see that vinny also failed to do any of alexanders quest
kinda bummed he got to the Festival before doing redmane proper, doing the appetizer fight first would have been fun
Always glad to see vinny running directly past chests.
rennala is very hard to fight with a mage build due to her immense magic defense and as someone with a mage build who took a solid hour to defeat her, to watch vinny effortlessly walk past the Kame Hame Ha move and take her out first try with the darth maul sword was amazing in both a painful way and in a relieving way since im glad vinny did not struggle like i did
You can sort your inventory by "last acquired" when you press down the left stick. Pretty helpful later in the game.
These minotaurs have a very Demon-Cop tone of voice.
Regular people when in danger: Scream, Acceptance, Panic
Vinny: Sing
