Love Vicn mods, Unslaad, Vigilant and Glenmoril, and of course love your explaination video.
God, I want my Cotho Glenmorill video more than I want world peace or 3 day weekends.
Looking forward to the next one Cothos. About to do another playthrough soon.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Interesting fact, that whole good route with Mary and Pepe is taken almost word for word from the Grand Inquisitor scene from the novel "Brothers Karamazov" by Fyodor Dostoevski. I recommend giving it a read – at least, the scene, I mean.
Sorry bro that VA had me clicking that dislike button so many times it somehow turned into a like button
:>D
I played through the trilogy but I didn't get who the anatomancer is. Can anyone spoil me?
58:25 Is the Black Worm really Mannimarco himself? Im not 100% on my Daggerfall lore but didn't he kinda cease to exist physically? (I might be wrong about the specifics)
Also wasn't the Black Worm some kind of necromancer cult that was created hundreds of years after Daggerfall?
Also Also wasn't there some guy in Oblivion that had something to do with Mannimarco? God, there's so much stuff
Edit: Never mind, I was wrong and ESO also added a whole bunch of even weirder lore I wasn't aware of
First time I played Vigilant, I genuinely didn’t understand the hype. But Cotho’s videos has helped me understand the story and what a masterpiece the Vicn trilogy is.
Looking forward to Glenmoril being finished.
Another epic video, thanks a ton, keep it up :3
Keep up the great work
Yo, I literally just watched your old Vigilant video yesterday.
Thank you for continue to talk about it. I NEED it.
Thank you again.
take these words as madness.
dreughs are hermaphrodites. their ruler in the previous kalpa, Bal, was the god of love. after the fall of Lyg, Bal split in two: Molag and Mara, the r*per-king of domination, and the slave-queen of freedom. each part seeks redemption, or reunion? oh handmaiden of tears, why did you send Him?
perhaps as prophet Engels said, a revolution is the most authoritarian thing. some impose their will upon the others by means of violence.
"Let those that hear me then be buffeted, and let some die in the ash from the striking. Let those that find him find him murdered by illumination, pummeled like a traitorous house, because, if an hour is golden, then immortal I am a secret code." [31]
if immortality is blasphemy, oh Arkay, son' of Mara, set my eyes into a fire prayer for the wicked, and stuff my mouth with owls.
long live the modders! f*ck beth
17:39 then dagoth ur enters for some reason….
The Witch in Coldharbour tells lore about Reyda the witch we encounter outside the hut after slaying the wife and child of mercenary we meet outside the Beacon Of Stendarr. I realized it very much later about her origin. The below is spoiler be warned:
Reyda used to a normal alchemist and sister of Naarfi in Ivarstead where we get the quest about finding his sister and quest leads to skeleton body in water with her necklace [Skyrim Vanilla Quest]. She was killed and turned in a witch by Molag Bal. When she is confronted and defeated there is option of either spare her or kill her. IF you spare her and she will appear near the exit and tells DB that before leaving she will kill people of Ivarstead. Non-esstential NPC will be get killed like Kimmleck, the family of take cares of the farm, owner of lumber mill and the bard in the inn. The owner of Inn is essential I think, he qives Dragon Claw as payment to explore the dungeon near the town. Naarfi is spared her brother. I got a mod Obituary that alrerts NPC death, got notification about their death.
The Sacred Anatomancer is far and away my favorite character in the Vicn trilogy. Spent a lot of time analyzing his character through the lens of TES lore as well as the inspirations Vicn's mentioned for the character and hooooo boy there is a lot to unpack. Most of it is spoilerific and I don't blame you at all for not touching it till Glenmoril is finally finished.
Bro thank you for making these videos because I love skyrim mods stories butbdont have the means to play them or to watch a 50+ playlist
I honestly would love to hear you as Belhazar's voice🤌🏻
I thought I played through Vigilant in full, did everything in Coldharbour, and got the True End, but I never encountered this epilogue. How do you initiate it?
The story of Jazhar is actually based on the story of Richard from the Dostoesky novel The Brothers Karasamov
No Im not a cultured gentlemen who enjoys classical Russian literature, I simply watched a video by Ratotoskr about the lore of the flame of frenzy in Elden Ring, and how the stories of great suffering done to innocents and injustice could make you want the flame to want to burn the pain and mistkakes of the world away, instead of waiting for a divine being, if one exists to do it for you, or even worse, for those innocents who have suffered and those who have caused their suffering to meet after judgement day in the kingdom of a God to "forgive" one another.
‘love thy neighbour’ even if they’re vile because they will be judged in the next world. No, says Ivan, that’s too much to ask, particularly when it comes to those who cause the most suffering in the least deserving."
I Cotho, you played the Republic of Maslea? I saw very interesting screenshots on the mod page 👀
11:00
He really said: “Once there was an ugly sload, he was so ugly that everyone died. The end. :D”
I think i remember Aelaar once said the ???? Guy is indeed an avatar of Akatosh which imo fits with the established lore.
Would you say its worth picking up Glenmoril and Unslaad and playing them in their current states? Do either of them at least end at a decent stopping point?
Soo…. does the ending of Vigilant affect Glemoril in any way? Like would certain dialogue or things change depending on if Molag Bal managed to kill Stendarr and take his plane, or if he didn't?
Deepest lore as always, good video.Kyne best girl, the part with the dragon getting the flower was very touching amidst an ocean of people exploding in gore. Also too bad that even if you get the arcana you dont get a new massive fire spell
god i remember the petitions to house tharn, i still cant determine if suffering in coldharbour or soul trapping amicus and taking him to the soul cairn is a worse fate
The opening with those cinematic shots is amazing
I could never disaggree with you. I wouldn't dare
Hey absolutely loving this explanation series that your doing keep up the great work!
