  1. Yeah but the last time the U.S. millitary and U.S. goverment was really responsible was like over 40 ago so I count me as skeptical because they usually are not responsible

  2. yes somehow these won't end up the game changer that arm chair generals think they are,

i mean we still have tanks we still have helicopters, drones while useful are little more than force multiplers and have turned out to be rather vulnerbale to various defences.

the bayonet is still useful as the ukraine war has shown other than nukes a lot of wars are going to big down very quickly into old fashioned close quaters hand to hand combat very like ww1.

  3. I think we could have a few issues though if we train AI specifically to take us out. That’s probably not a good idea for overall human survival.

  4. Yeah I think the Terminator Endoskelletons will be built before the Real Judgement Day and marketed as suppliments or alternatives to flesh and blood soldiers. We'll be told that they are just another form of Drone.

  5. The same issue with and new tech, are you going to have it for your military or you are going to watch your enemy get the tech for their military. The decision is so easy, it always come down to 😅

  6. only reason the concept of meshing humans with technology exist is because it is very hard to make a robot that can make informed and on-the-fly decisions, So we use humans and then we get RoboCop like units

  7. Meanwhile the Japanese have built a life-sized fully operational Gundam (it's like 75' tall or something). I mean, it can frikkin WALK.

Imagine THAT thing being able to move quickly and fly or go into space like nothing! It could easily militarized, and that would probably be the end of anyone who is not Japan

  8. In the future, robot soldiers and autonomous weapons will give those who use them an insurmountable technological advantage over those who don't. This will be the next great arms race, as every military that can deploy killer robots will do so as a matter of security. Removing human emotion, ethics and accountability will make the violence more brutal and indiscriminate. Terrorists and rogue state will also become more dangerous with this tech. Dictators will use it to crush any opposition with ruthless efficiency. And while this tech can save lives if used responsibly, I little faith that will happen if there's a military advantage in letting it run amok with wholesale slaughter.

    This is gonna be bad.

  9. I think we're still 25 years away from robot soldiers that can replace a human. It's just a matter of whether the body or the brain gets to that level first. The robot itself needs to be as agile, if not even more so, as a human. Right now robots are very clunky and slow. The AI that controls the robot needs to be able to make its own decisions (who's a target and who's not) as well as completely observe and respond to its surroundings. We're getting there, but still a ways off.

  10. My idea has long been to skip autonomous ai robots and instead use a VR with 3d Body Mapping and Tracking remote control. So that we have a human mind in control of a nonautonomous robotic body.
Like the remote controlled aircraft drones that we already have just in humanoid form.

No risk to the lives of our soldiers and a human mind for ethical reasoning.

  11. Heres a solution buy a few atlas machines with a shell company, the reverse engineer them and sell the plans to the DoD. Government cant get sued and you can thumb your nose at Boston Dynamics.

  12. The first nation to have humanoid robot soldiers will be unbeatable on the battlefield. Just a squad of robot soldiers would inflict heavy casualties on a whole company of soldiers. Imagine unleashing a squad of robots on russian trenches in Ukraine? Itd be an absolute slaughter.

  13. Great video strangely enough as technically as they my be those robots aren't able to have a kind of gas to have thier enemies to sleep 😴 Or a dart to have them knocked out and able to have them still be Live capturing them and heaving others forces take care of them in extracting value information from them

  14. So, if robot army #1 defeats robot army #2, will army #2 revert to using humans again to avoid or delay full defeat? In other words, will the defeated side simply give up because their robots lost, or will they fight until they have no more resources to fight?

  15. This would make it extremely easy for an autocratic lunatic like DeSantis to seize power with a few well placed allies to lock out control by anyone not aligned with them. (I only use DeSantis because he's the current politician using his position to exact revenge on private entities that don't agree with him. It could be anyone with no respect for people who disagree with them.)

  16. Robot doesn't need to be that smart, it needs to be cheap and able to take hits, and deliver them. They will start by being controlled remotely like call of duty, bet 100 they use Xbox controllers for these war robots.

  17. Pros and Cons of having an army of robots
Pro: They follow orders. Robots or AI are programmed to follow the instructions given to them without hesitation since they are only programmed.

Cons: They blindly follow orders. They will commit any actions that are programmed to them. It doesnt distinguish if the actions are moral or not since AI doesn't have a moral compass nor if it is ethical unless they are programmed to resiist certain instructions deemed unethical. AI can have certain bias such as identifying targets

  18. The time when most humans are do longer nessessary is fast approaching. How are we going to fight these things when the government sicks them on us? It will happen, and they'll call it saving the world.
