  1. The Bears have 3 good young building blocks in their secondary but are desperate for front seven talent. Passing up Carter or Anderson is a dangerous proposition but Chicago also saw with the Mack trade that a Pro Bowl edge was worth about as much as the assets you have to give up to acquire him. Chicago has tons of holes all over the team and really should be stockpiling draft picks to assist with the roster reconstruction.

  2. chicago has so many problems, they need to trade back regardless if they are 1st, 2nd 3rd, 4th…doesnt matter they need to trade back and build a war chest of picks over the next 2 years. One player on D will not fix them…if they traded back 2 or 3 times and build a massive war chest of picks they can fill all their holes and still get several starters and get some depth in this draft and be in great shape the next 2 years to move and get potential stars. Also if you are picking a million guys who cares if you miss on half of them….not all pro bowl caliber guys go in the first 5 picks in the draft…

  3. Guys…if Brady plays again next year it will not be on a team with a GARBAGE Oline. 0% chance….There is 0% chance Brady will play on a team with average at best WRs….there is less than 0% chance Brady plays for a team with a STs coach as his qb coach and a DC as his OC….Brady will not be playing for NE. No way no how, it is STUPID to think he would.

  4. Thank you guys for doing this weekly show. Outside of UW I don't watch much college ball so it's nice learning about alot of the up and coming college players and who would fit in where. I reallllly like your pick for Seattle at 12. The outside linebacker spot was missing all season long, Barton was not good in replacing Wagner and that position suffered greatly all year. Really hoping Houston sticks with Young so either Carter or Anderson is still available at #3.

  5. So many dream scenarios for the Bears. If they can trade down and still get Anderson/Carter or more realistically Murphy/Bresee and get extra picks including a 2024 1st rounder, it would achieve exactly what #1 priority of the Bears should be this offseason, improving the defensive line and gives the Bears two 1st rounders in 2024 to package and maybe move up in any potential pursuit of Marvin Harrison jr. in the 2024 draft.

  6. The two teams that traded up to # 1 and #2 overall in the 2017 had previously swapped QB's 2 years earlier in 2015. Who were those QB's you ask? Nick Foles (traded from Eagles to Rams) and Sam Bradford (Rams to Eagles). It all comes back to Nick Foles.

  7. I couldnโ€™t disagree with Trevor and Connor more. First, recent history tells us that you canโ€™t trust Arthur Blank when it comes to QBs (the prosecution enters Deshaun Watson into evidence). Second, that next season is win this current regime has to make the playoffs, not take another swing at a rookie quarterback. We need a defensive line and improved playdesign/play-calling more than faux draft excitement.

  8. I love Bryce. Kid has it all except for size. And that scares as weโ€™re watching whatโ€™s happening with Tua and Kyler along with Russ and Baker. These smaller QBs comes with a lot of health risks.

  9. Have a sleeper duo of picks for you guys. Anthony Richardson to Detroit at 7 and Bijan to Detroit with their pick.

Richardson could sit for 2 years(the current remainder of Goffs contract) and Bijan makes too much sense. IMO they dont like Swift(not current regimes pick, oft injured) and Jamaal Williams will probably leave via FA. Then Detroit goes all defense rest of draft

  10. You are correct on Texans dream in my opinion I would be soooooo happy with Bryce and verse think we win the draft ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  11. Bresee at #4 ???????? He has occasional great plays, but most of the time does nothing against players he should dominate. He is consistently out-produced by players slated to go 3 rounds later… the gap between Carter and Bresee is monumental – only the lack of DT depth in this class allows him to be talked about in the same round.
There's even a rumor that he may return because NFL teams don't rate him.

  12. I don't get why you guys think NE wants to move on from Mac Jones? He had a pretty good rookie season, this season started rough but he's playing a lot better now. Still not amazing but he's not the issue, he has a super weak cast around him. He's definitely still the guy here.

  13. I would die if bears have the 1st pick and trade with colts. I would be so happy. Colts have some players on defense Eberflus might want which could sweeten the deal. They wouldnโ€™t have to trade down to far and might still get their guy.

  14. As a Seattle fan, love the Carter pick but watching teams take advantage of us in the run game was devastating. We had a hard time filling gaps, Carter solves some of that but getting the best LB in the draft if he's still there at 12 (out of Clemson I believe) would be money.

  15. My goals/hopes for the 1st legitmate year of the Houston Texans rebuild before the season started was mostly just 3, seemingly very attainable, things.

    1. Have a solid 2022 draft class that plays a ton early on (Mostly did)
    2. Find a few more longer-ish term veteran free agents to make them a more competitive (Ehhh)
    3. Go into the 2023 draft with a new Head Coach and a Top 3 pick

If they find a way to screw up the #3 after playing 12 weeks of mostly terrible and mostly pointless football by beating a couple back up QBs and a Jaguars team resting their starters, I might have to swear off football for a year. No offense to Murphy, Breese or the other young studs, but Houston not getting their shot to draft either Anderson, Carter or their QB1 is a back breaker for the building.

  16. When you're looking at draft compensation for a trade down, surely you have to look at the Dolphins trading the 3rd pick in 2021 to the 49ers for the 12th pick, a 1st and 3rd in 2022 and their 1st in 2023. That was to move up to number 3 from 12. If the Bears do end up with the number 1 pick this year, would someone like the Raiders be looking to make a splash from the back end of the top 10, could the Panthers or Falcons look to move up? They could be looking at three firsts and a second to move down to 7-9 range.

The Bears have got cap space and could make a push to bring in the likes of Javon Hargrave or Daron Payne, bring in two O-Linemen. Should be fun this off season.

  17. CHI and SEA can both auction off 1st pick,in that situation, even ARI and whoever owns IND pick if HOU wins out, they are playing like they should've all year long now.HOU can really screw themselves, because CHI should lose out,DEN will,ARI could, and IND might.

  18. You guys have a great show. Really enjoy it. You mentioned Nuke Hopkins possibly being moved if Cardinals go full rebuild a few episodes ago. You seemed to dismiss it due to the size of his contract. Donโ€™t forget the Bears have over $100M in cap space next year. They could take the last 2 years of that deal and give Fields a true WR1. Speaking it into existence.

  19. I said this on another PFF discussion but has PFF completely forgotten about Tre Brown in Seattle? Seattle might draft corner but DT, DE, LB, OG, OC, and even WR3 are more important needs than CB. Even SAFETY is more of a liability there, especially with Diggs looking like crap this year and costing a ton.
