Little Mabel, at 7 months old, has gone through indescribable suffering. She was kidnapped from her natural habitat to be kept as a pet after her mother was murdered. When she was found she was malnourished and in terrible physical condition. Fortunately, the Orangutan Project team rescued her and now she is doing very well at the BORA rehabilitation center.
Thanks to this rescue, the little orangutan will be able to have a new chance at life and eventually return to the wild. Orangutans are not pets.
