United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby got in hot water recently after defending his company’s aggressive pursuit of diversity in hiring new pilots. So-called DEI initiatives (short for “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion”) have been all the rage in corporate boardrooms of late, with some critics questioning whether diversity is a better metric than merit.

If there were true “equity “ applied in all aspects of society, the non blacks would get a 10-15 yard head start in track events. Sounds fair to me. A quota on NFL and NBA teams of course. Those jobs pay tens of million $ per year. It’s obviously unfair by DEI standards.

The far left use of the term "equity" doesn't even mean equity. They abandoned "egalitarian" for "equity". They abandoned "fair" for "egalitarian". After all this they realized that gish galloping wasn't a good academic practice so they just launched a massive campaign to redefine words to dictionaries and Wikipedia and search engines.
It's not very nice when the Guests constantly interrupt the only guy with something to say. Kurt Metzger is a lot more observant of the world than the Due Dissidence boys.

Guess what…. I'm familiar with airline hiring. They hire white men ALL THE TIME for reasons that have NOTHING to do with being the most qualified.
As a 50 yr old white guy myself… you make some points about the psy ops and stupidity of much of this current trend eg dei, but occasionally you get a little panic whiney on us.
