Undertale's Darkest Analog Horror Series

We’ve had analog horror for a long time, when do we get DVD horror? Scratching up yo disk is way spookier than an evil spirit or sumn.

Undertale Analog Horror Video Essay Deepdive, not Horrortale Iceberg.

  1. i do genuinely like this idea but for gods sake who thought it was a good idea to distort the dialogue between the caver and the officed THAT MUCH! like its barely understandable in some parts and completely inaudible in others. thank GOD they have subtitles otherwise that shit would be impossible to understand.

  2. This is literally like the chernobyl disaster, a huge disaster that made a whole area uninhabitable all becuase it was lead by the most dum leaders

The only difference is we were able to contain the disaster

I can see asgore saying 3.6 roentgen not great not terrible

  3. Some are comparing it to Horrortale but it’s more like what if Horrortale begin at an earlier point in time, because in Horrortale it becomes a freak show after frisk leaves the underground

  4. Interesting, i wonder. If any humans actually tried to fight, how would they do? Humans are “supposedly” as strong as 1000 monsters. It could be accurate to say that a human that actually tried to fight back may be entirely safe, determination or not.

  6. This au is very similar to canon horrortale and I loved it The only difference is that the monsters are smart in Horrortale and the core malfunction is what made them live in hell.
To be honest Horrortale feels more canon to me but this AU is more terrifying.

  7. This series does such a good job at inflicting a feeling of impending dread. Toriel eating Asriel was about the worst thing that could’ve happened to this timeline.

Asgore was incompetent afterwards. I won’t deny that, even though he’s my favorite character. The least he could’ve done is appointed someone else in charge to prevent the civil war.

I can imagine the reason Asgore didn’t want water taken from Waterfall to the Core is maybe he was afraid it would become unusable, say like water from a place after a nuclear explosion. I hope that’s his reasoning, because it’s the only sound explanation I could come up with.

Supposedly Toriel and Asgore had plenty of food. What the hell was going on in her head to where she thought of eating Asriel of all people?

The timeline doesn’t really aline with the games since Asgore is centuries old, and Alphys was a recent replacement for Gaster, which is my only actual complaint.

I’m excited to see where they go with this, it’s a cool series.

  8. This is what you call fire. But if there's anything that can be enhanced, it would be the voice acting and some of the art. I'd tbh rather see hyper realistic human goats in the darkness instead of cartoony portraits. other than that, this is just horror tale but a take! (Minus the people investigating that is)
