A commander of an elite unit of Ukrainian marines has told Sky’s John Sparks the majority of his best trained troops have been injured or killed.
Speaking near the frontline, south of the city of Severodonetsk, company commander Oleksandr said a core of experienced soldiers who had been fighting together since 2018 have been lost.

UA could lose up to 200 000 soldiers during the Russian special operation. Russia is winning. They do not put the whole mass of combat power with infantry and tanks there. They have gathered their artillery and so they are doing well. Russia has a lot of combat power, much more then the Ukrainians. The Ukrainians will never have enought fighting power to drive the Russians out of Ukraine. The whole point of Russia going into UA was to eliminate it as a threat to Russia and to the RU-speaking Ukrainians that were tormented by the elensky regime in Kiev from 2014. They are accomplishing that.
