UK Air Accidents – AAIB January 2025 Bulletin Debrief – MORE 737 issues…

✈️✈️✈️
Welcome to this January’s AAIB Bulletin debrief. We discuss a few incidents from general aviation and then two 737 incidents. Don’t you think the 737 is over-represented in our videos??

00:40 – Broken foot on LoganAir
01:30 – Another Carb icing incident? Piper Cherokee
02:25 – Piper cub spinning around
03:30 – Ryanair 737 MAX Go Around incident at Stansted
08:50 – TUI 737 inappropriate takeoff power at Bristol

As always do let me know if you’re enjoying my videos 🙂

  1. That Bristol Airport incident was no doubt exacerbated by the fact that it's a very short runway for international flights (6600 ft IIRC), so less time to realise something is wrong and correct it.

  2. I can't watch this video beyond around 4 minutes when the silly music starts – partly because any kind of music at all playing at the same time as somebody narrating is too irritiating for me to cope with, but mostly because my brain/ears cannot separate your narration from the music track (at least on the particular device I'm watching/listening on) – there is too much going in, so I have no idea what you're saying.
Is it possible to reupload this video without the music track?
Otherwise, I had/do enjoy the other videos you've made, and very much appreciate the time and effort you've gone to.
Cheers and all the best – I look forward to the next one

  3. The first 737 incident sounds like a classic case of 'getting behind the aircraft'. According to an AI search: "As of December 2024, there were 11,925 Boeing 737s and 11,865 Airbus A320s in service worldwide".
