If you go almost directly across the street at the Post Office in Essex, you will find the remains of (oops)
Camp Clipper, that was in full swing during WW2 as a training camp for draftees to get used
to desert heat, it used to be interesting to walk around, I was there about 30 + some years ago, I found numerous broken Coke bottles & lots of war related junk.
We had a wonderful visit there recently. We also heard music coming from the saloon, we have a video of that and a peek through the windows of what it looked like on our channel, it was pretty interesting.

That Silver Peak area is about readly to see a giant resurgence….Those Lithium mines are going to be reopened to supply the battery factory in Reno….Win for Nevada…Would never happen in Kommiefornia.
