As great as the first two episodes have been, I was really hoping instead of the Titan we got the Enterprise-E with a new crew with this same type of Captain questioning Picard and Riker.
What is it with Starfleet captains and their extracurricular, out-of-wedlock, activities which end up in putting an entire crew in danger? If I were a Starfleet officer on a ship, in deep space, and I found out that my life is in danger, because the captain/admiral/whoever wasn't able to keep his pants up two decades ago, I'd be asking for transfer.
It still has some of the same childish lines as the previous seasons, it just has a cohesive storyline and what appear to be actual characters to go along with it. Overall I really like it.
They still don't know how to write ADULT PROFESSIONAL StarFleet characters. (eyeroll). Every single Nu-Trek character has to be like super energetic, unprofessional.
I really hope that Shaw continues to be a part of the entire season, and we see him change and grow. Rules are fine, but sometimes you gotta bend the rules, as we have seen with all the greatest of captains, Kirk, Picard, Janeway, Sisko. Not to mention, "risk is part of the game if you want to sit in that chair" Kirk.
Shaw proving, he has the metal to be a captain and command a starship in that close at Warp to break a tractor beam lock (Shaw manouver anyone?) And yeah Shaw looks like the 25th Century version of Jellico who is now an Admiral and giving Admiral Janeway maximum shit (rightfully so too) for what she pulled recently….
Its worth pointing out that dislike of "ex-borg" aside, shaw seems to be by the book, precise and follows protocol….exactly how Picard and Riker were in TNG. Can you imagine how TNG Picard would have reacted if a couple of old dudes showed up and started spinning a BS tale to get the Enterprise to go along with theiir crazy scheme? Picard would have hit the roof! In that context Shaw seems decent enough as a Captain.
I don't care if people say they use the framework of the Titan to build this ship because I really don't think they did, I think used a framework similar to a Ambassador Class frame.
did i miss something with the way he blinked?

Picard is so senile, he doesn't know if he is just imagining all of it.
Wonderful some.of hadn't seen it yet
Give it a DAY will you?
Some of us haven't seen it yet BUT IT STIL COMES UP ON OUR FEED!
0:40 can you imagine? Star Trek like music in a Star Trek show?
I didn't know a ship could warp in to break a tractor beam. That's awesome!

Shame that they don't have better lighting in the future.
Music and cgi all good
Shaw good
Too dark still tho
Stewart still can’t act like Picard anymore
Thanks for the spoiler…
FIX for 0:49
Captain: Give me a status on that ship
LaForge: Scans indicate some kind of power surge
Now that is an interesting way to break a tractor beam. Also very cool.
They forgot to beam Beverly.
"Your entrance was good……His was better."
Why the hell is Seven not in the brig?
What do you prefer? Spending 8 episodes in present day LA or THIS? Hard choice I know 😉
That was a ballsy way to break a tractor beam.
Shaw is giving Kirk vibes…just a little bit.
"Sir, we've arrived to help the ship under attack."
"Okay, now we can go to red alert for dramatic purposes."
"Wait… We weren't at red alert and operating under combat protocols BEFORE we jumped in?"

Have to say…why the fuck did paramount pull the A team writters only for the last season.

0:15 Can't stop watching that entrance, it just doesn't get old.
I got a feeling Shaw's gonna get killed in action and Seven will eventually be the new captain of the Titan

Terry Star Trek
This is pretty cringy Star Trek. I liked the show and loved the movies, but this is just painful to watch.
Turn on the lights geeze why is every room so damn dark 🤔
Very pleased to say Star Trek got good again. What took them so long
So I guess Starfleet can't afford some extra lightbulbs in their ships now.
"I don't know but it looks pissed" .. seriously?

jacks hand was shaking badly when he was in the brigg .i wonder if he has Picard's Irumodic syndrome
Hideous ship, darkly lit and bleak show, talentless hack writers.
"What the Hell is that thing doing?"
"Idk but it looks pissed"
Oh my god…. Imagine this dialogue in TNG. That's not how you speak. It's funny how New Trek manages to instantly destroy a moment of goosebumps….
So far marginally better than Season 2. This is such a disappointment. To wait all these years for this crap.
This show went from being a polished turd to the best thing on TV and they're gonna pull the plug?
Just pure perfection ❤❤❤❤ so so so good
You can tell Shaw is a Midwesterner.
"Ope, I'm just gonna scoot in here"

It's the Enter…Titan to the rescue
