Today in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on Oversight of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) questioned FBI Director Christopher Wray on the FBI’s targeting of traditionalist Catholics. Senator Hawley discussed a report issued by the House Judiciary Committee revealing a memo outlining the weaponization of the FBI against Catholics, and repeatedly demanded that Director Wray hold accountable the individuals involved.
“Now we know that in fact, FBI agents did approach a priest and a choir director to ask them to inform on parishioners […] Good heavens, Director, this is one of the most outrageous targetings – you have mobilized your division, the most powerful law enforcement division in the world, against traditionalist Catholics,” said Senator Hawley.

Josh Hawley lacks skills to perform this job. I have heard that Mr. Wray, working with sensitive investigations cannot announce all details to the world. Evidently there was a citizen's report of illegal activity and the FBI had to do their job and investigate no matter what church the activity was reported to be related to. They do not go around and investigate all Catholic churches of course. If they get a lead about illegal activity including child abuse they do their job and investigate. It gives Mr. Hawley a chance to perform for votes. He is stupid if He doesn't know basic info about FBI investigation protocol and nauseating that he does not give Mr. Wray the opportunity to answer questions. He answers FOR Mr. Wray with lies. This was not a conversation or exchange of info. That would have been helpful, but it was the Josh Hawley show. He made a fool of himself. Anyone with PROOF of inaccuracies besides the words of Hawley or FOX feel welcome to provide this info.
