TRIBUTES have been paid to a couple after they were found dead when their car became trapped underwater in heavy rain.
Philip and Elaine Marco were travelling in their black Mercedes A180 in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, on Sunday night.

Liverpool city council have blood on their hands, the flooding has been going on for as long as I can remember, the condition of the roads is embarrassing in Liverpool, I'm sick and tired of excuses this should not happen at all, yet it takes something like this to show us all this can happen, im gutted.. god bless the couple my up must condolences to the family's who have lost there loved ones..

Wow, I used to walk this route to school every day. Even during the worst downpours, the water only ever got up to your ankles and even that was very rare. This was about 30 years ago though.
How on earth did no one get to them.
