The T’au Empire (or Tau Empire) is a rapidly expanding empire, sometimes referred to as a Commonwealth by its own citizens, situated inside of the Ultima Segmentum, near the Eastern Fringe. Founded by the Ethereals, who lead the Tau empire in the name of the Greater Good. Several alien races (Kroot, Vespid, among others) have allied themselves with the Tau.
Each race within the Tau empire, has a unique and different society. However all races have one common belief in the Greater Good. The Greater Good, or Tau’va (Tau), is the founding principle of Tau society. The Tau’va system is based on Castes and is designed to allow for the advancement of the entire Tau society together towards a more successful, prosperous and easier existence in the future.

Maybe the vespids always wanted to join the tau
There needs to be an agents of the imperium style list of units that the T'au can pull from
underselling the shapers
all kroot can taste what their eating but the shapers know what it will make
and both the krootox and hounds are genetic dead ends
kroot are not part of the tau empire
the shapers smelled what the ethereals tried to do in negotiations and refused
they are allies but not inside the empire
Vespid are the coolest wish they got more stuff in general
O god does this mean Kroot Booba Lady for a poster? The Kroot got bigger booba from eating a Sister of Battle
You guys always give me good ideas for some kitbashed for my army
The Tau are as close to the good guys as its possible to get in 40k.
They do horrible shit and feel bad about it because they HAVE too…
Its be a dick and survive vs be nice and burn.
A vorg model could be mobile cover, a giant shield guy running around providing big to hit and cover buffs from the squad on its shield
The Tao are bassicly that one kid that joins a toxic cod lobby
Explaining alien biology in " Could they beat a guardsman in a fist fight" is now my new standard
In the story Blood Oath by Phil Kelly, Straken climbs on top of a wounded Riptide and punches it to death. So yeah, Straken fist beats Crisis Suit.
I get not having a mini in the wargame for an alien race that doesn't fight in the wars, but some of these are exclusively "they fight in the big wars" as far as their lore goes.
The fact they don't even have art only gets worse when you consider that the client races are such a gigantic part of the Tau Empire's flavor as an empire.
Why not have Tau Auxiliaries treated like Agents of The Imperium for tabletop?
Tau are the hipster Covenant from Halo "uniting alien races before it was cool" (partially joking).
Biggest crime GW commits it's not expanding on all T'AU empire races, it's like that meme of the guy mining for diamond but give ups on last minute , inches away from the diamonds
The Tau have a good variety of Battlesuits now to fill pretty much every role. Some more attention on Alien Auxiliaries and other vehicles that aren't Battlesuits would be nice. I don't think more alien species would necessarily break the aesthetic of the army if they are kitted out appropriately (e.g. with armor that is very clearly Tau Empire issue armor, Tau-made weapons etc.)
One reason I doubt GW will ever give the Tau minis of races like the Nicassar is because it would conflict with the "Tau only play in the shooting phase" rules on the tabletop. Giving Tau auxiliary races models would actually make the Tau viable in all phases of the game, including gasp melee! lol! 😀
The differences between a human and tau are numerous yet minor.
Tau bought ion weapons from votan. That's why they are the only tau weapon that explodes the user
My bozs the Kroot don't get nearly enough exposure. Or models. More Kroot models!
