I didn't have "access to the internet" until 1998 at work. I remember searching for stuff on my breaks every day. Didn't get internet at home until 1999 or 2000.

That's pure gold. The thing is that George's life around japanese and japan is rich and it shows, It helps a ton getting motivated. Unlike other punk kids who has nothing to show other than a good pitch accent… hehe
that was the cheesiest most romantic Holllywood style story I've ever heard. I seriously thought nobody could come up with something so cheesy even in movies but this was really special.
