  1. " The Elephant in the room" is the underlining issue why most of these shows were cancelled, and others like it will be canceled. HBO, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and etc. have to make a profit. One of my favorite tv shows was Almost human, but the cost of the series was too much money and they quit after one season.

  2. When you constantly make programmes that constantly push identity politics, all men are misogynistic, women are perfect and can do anything wrong and if they do, it's a man fault. Also every programme has so much LGBTASDF;LKJBBC+×÷= that it starts to make people ill, then I'm not surprised they got cancelled.
Quick tip, get better writers directors.

  3. queer branded shows fail because their audience is inherently smaller. In the capitalist system, you make shows for the largest audience possible. it's not that their community doesn't deserve to be represented, it's that they're not as profitable. that's capitalism, shows have to make boat loads of money.

  4. Nothing was lost by any of these cancellations. It's surprising that most of these were greenlit in the first place, and even the better ones – like Westworld – had already run through their story arc and no longer had anything compelling to say.

  5. Your prioritization of series supported by LGTB+ community is discouraging and explains why many of these shows were axed. It's not about the "community" there is another healthy 80% of population that wants to watch good shows with nothing center on that, but in good story lines. BTW, the Warrior Nun was awful!

  6. Tom Swift looks like a cool show, but probably should have made it a more original title. I don't know if Tom Swift is that popular of a book over the years, but I think originality could have saved it to some degree, depending on how big a deal Tom Swift's books were.

  7. This was like listening to an object lesson -"Get Woke, go Broke". That is, if you use your show as a platform for ideology, but forget to pay attention to narrative quality, your audience will dissipate, and your show will come to an earlier than expected conclusion.

  8. To be honest vampire diaries was not canceled… I told more stories with the two spin offs…. I can be honest because the first show I started watching was the originals, and at that time I had no idea it was a spinoff of vampire diaries. Watch the show and loving it I had to go back to watch The vampire diaries…. The show's creator was at least brilliant to make the shows compelling enough to watch.

  9. Damn, the CW, Netflix and HBO are trying to be the new Fox or Sci-Fi…speaking of HBO, they way they dropped shows in 22 makes me slightly wary about getting involved in The Last of Us.

  10. I see many of these shows catered to specific audiences and not everyone is ready for the wokeness of these shows. People are not racist or homophobic, it is just not to their taste. Stop pushing the woke agenda and be inclusive of everyone.

  11. I never heard of any of these shows! The link I see is that most of these cancelled shows are LGBTQ and Feminist shows which never get big audience shares. But just like the movie Bros, this channel seems to blame everyone other than the main audience that it was meant to attract.

Also, reboots seem to be a failed idea. No originality and trying to bring nostalgia in a poor way. Seems to be that all these cancellations are due solely to low ratings and disinterest and nothing more.

  12. Ryan Wilder is to blame for the low viewership. Kate Kane was what drew people in to watch but then all of a sudden we get someone called Ryan Wilder. Not from the comics so no wonder no one wanted to watch her. Legends of Tomorrow was NOT the lowest CW show. Batwoman was

  13. I don't know about most of these shows… And at least some of them fall into some of my favorite genres. So for a lot of them, lack of publicity definitely hurt them.

WB's Legends however, is a great example of wasted potential. The first couple of seasons of that show was great. But somewhere along the way, it was like some late 80s/ early 90s TV producer took over and was more worried about sticking buzz themes into the show as opposed to keeping a good storyline. The latter seasons just became cringe inducing… which is not a problem that was exclusive to Legends, they were just the blatant example because it was the only show without source material. It really had the potential of becoming America's version of Doctor Who, but executives thought it would be better to dumb down the series, and pander to the lowest common denominators.

  14. Oh For Fuck Sake, Netflix cancels EVERYTHING worth watching. Lbgtq shouldn’t take it personally. Don’t get e started on the long list of shot they posed ME off by cancelling. “I am not ok with this” Is just 1 show towards the top of that list.
