Trying To Pitch Shift In "Pump It" Is Not Fun

This song is a great example of why bands program in pitch shifts and effects changes in their tracks instead of doing it on the fly…

  1. Not gonna lie, I'd like to see one of these for something from Lovebites, just because I want to see some breakdown of what Miho is up to in one of their songs. Could be any of them. Maybe Thunder Vengeance, as she wrote that one, or something else that you think is interesting. I don't even care if you can't get it down. I'd just enjoy checking out some of Miho's bass work and hearing some of it isolated in whatever you're up to.

  2. Just my opinion… I think it would be cool to see some Band-Maid. Misa does some pretty cool stuff, and it'd be neat to see it in a format like what you're doing. Anyway, keep rocking brother! 🀘😎🀘

  3. Just got my first electric guitar and you getting back into bass is definitely motivating me to get stuck in and learn how to play! Really enjoying these

  4. I have watched all three of these videos released on YouTube, and I find them oddly fascinating. I have never played any instrument other than drums in high school, and I was not very good. But I have engineered thousands of bands over the years, but never really paid attention to specific instruments or how they are played. I'm looking forward to more of these learn-a-song-in-an-hour videos.

  5. lmao of course Hans and Franz are back XD
Pump It is one of my fave EC songs so it was fun watching you figure out how to play. It makes sense why you were having a little trouble so you've never really dealt with pitch shifting and using pedals when you were performing in a band. I also had no idea that everything has gotten that fancy with using tracks and having digital rigs. I guess I never thought you could just program it to change for you rather than worry about using a pedal.
Also love the baby Tank footage XD Looks like you were wild on stage lmfao

  6. Totally unrelated to the video question, but seeing your arms and hands up close has me wondering if you ever have / would ever explain the story for each of your tattoos? I'm especially curious about the FACELESS knuckle tats.

  7. Would love you to try some Trivium. Paulo I feel has an excellent grove and feel to his playing. Nice job I enjoy these a lot especially being a bassist myself. Keep up the good work!

  8. The pitch shift is nice and most likely the proper way of playing the song. I learned it in drop G# on guitar and play the song on the low end more. I feel it beefs it up more when playing the verses. They could also be playing 2 octaves, 1 on each guitar. Either way, fun song to play for sure, awesome job.
