  1. Ride isnt even open yet and already complaining about it being dirty. lol….I would love to see the inside of these people's homes who complain about dirt. I bet some are one stack of sh*t away from a episode of Hoarders.

  2. Maybe Disney is ordering a custom Tiana’s Bayou Adventure sign that will have the exact same curved edge outline as the Splash Mountain sign…they needed to create a physical template of its shape for the new signage so it will fit perfectly in that spot. Just a theory…not as wild or adventurous as some of the other theories out there!

  3. Wait! so TRON has been budget-stretched out for so long (5 years) that it's overdue for a cleaning already? Before the attraction has even opened?!?!? 🧽🧼🧹🚿🎢👀🤦‍♂️

  4. Now it's a clean eyesore. Can we just talk about how Disney completely forgot about sight lines. Harmonious oil barg spectacular, Nasa's vehicle assembly building… i mean Gardians of the Galaxy, Ratatouille's carboard cutout buildings, and Trons toaster run. These are all examples of bad visual storytelling. I'm glad barges are going.

  5. That show building is an atrocity. Only the oil derricks and Guardians show building at EPCOT are more inexcusable. Since when do they think you can build unthemed visible show buildings. Hate it,

  6. That "You May Get Wet" sign has always made me laugh. I am a rather large land mammal and, at Disneyland, the last time I rode this ride they seated me at the very front of the log. The loading got progressively lighter with each passenger. This resulted in the log nosing down significantly.
We rode the first ramp to the very top and as the log comes off the ramp and gently into the water the nose dives down and water comes within about 1/8" of the front of the passenger compartment. I start laughing maniacally having already figured out what we were in for. My wife, with a very suspicious tone in her voice, asks me what is so funny. I just laugh harder and receive a playful slap to the back of my head and I hear "I've got a bad feeling about this" from her, a true Star Wars fan to the end.
We reach the first drop and I resign myself to my fate. The log dives to the bottom of the drop and many gallons of water enter the log. My wife lets out a scream and whap "YOU KNEW THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!" comes from behind me. I smirk and inform her that was the small drop. I can hear the gears working in her head for a moment, her expression goes blank and I hear "Oh dear lord…" I nod and we both start laughing.
At this point the rearr two passengers are oblivious to what is going on but they look slightly concerned as we are obviously having an outsized reaction to the ride thus far. As each drop gets larger more water finds its way further back, eventually they catch on to what is going on.
Then… the moment comes… the final drop. My wife and I have lost it at this point and ham it up for the cameras while looking like drowned R.O.U.S.s.
We hit the bottom of the big drop and… virtually nothing. Behind me I can hear a bit of confusion, only I can see what is happening. I start laughing maniacally again and my wife worriedly asks what is happening. I tell her "Wait for it."
When we hit botttom a massive amount of water was sent forward, I watched as this wave proceeds down the trough and reaches the curve ahead. The water rebounds off the wall and startts coming back growing larger and larger as it comes. I am laughing so hard as this almost cartoonlike tsunami wave approaches. The wave hits and crests OVER my head (I'm 6'1") and all four of us get inundated with water.
All four of us are now laughing uncontrollably through the final scene and as we pull in to the load/unload station. The cast members see us and their eyes go wide, I turn to the waiting passengers and, looking like I had spent the day in a swimming pool while fully dressed, I remember the sign and deadpan tell them "You May Get Wet".
We diembark leaving the log behind with likely more than 6" of standing water in it.
I do not know if they loaded the next passengers or had to take the log out of service to be bailed out/drained. We then had to run the full length of the park, soaking wet, get to our hotel, change, and run all the way back as we had Blue Bayou reservations like 15 minutes after the ride.
It made for a memorable trip and I can never look at that sign without laughing.

  7. Hey Tom, just visited Splash Mountain yesterday, trying to get a last ride in… but it was closed for maintenance! Then after I left, it opened up again and the line was almost an hour wait in 2 minutes!

  8. 10:15 Tokyo Disneyland needs more vegetarian options! Savory snacks very limited for those who dont eat meat or fish, counter service really poor, aside from the veggie curry in disneysea and some basic tomato pasta in disneyland. i live in japan and love the resort but often have to eat outside it to get a balanced meal.
