  2. Law of Internet Entropy states that "All elements of a thing online can only be correct for one instance of that thing before being forced to change and/or break something of that thing." I'm betting they're going to be force to change mailboxes soon, and that "fixed" placard will be out of date by the next Mail Time.

Maybe someone's said it, but I'm not looking, so in case you never knew, in the US there are two different bakery companies that make girl scout cookies, and they will have different names for products that are more or less the same. Like the coconut cookies have minute differences in the flavor of the chocolate and the texture of the cookie and are called either Samoas or Caramel deLites, and each region gets one type or the other. I lived in a region that was switched from one to the other, so I remember Tagalongs as a kid, and as an adult had a bizzaro world moment when they were suddenly just Peanut Butter Patties.

  6. Hate to spoil things for you, but the "Florida Man Coffee made in and sold out of Nebraska" thing is VERY PREVELANT. For instance, Kraft "Philly Cream Cheese" Is not made in nor comes from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And, that favorite $1 bottle of iced tea, "Arizona Iced Tea" has very little to do with my home state of Arizona (Outside of being able to purchase it from your favorite retailer should you find yourself visiting and/or living in Arizona). The Arizona Iced Tea company is based in New York and chose the name because, "Eh? Marketing?" To be fair, of all the things my home state is associated with, Arizona Iced Teas brand isn't as bad as a lot of the stuff out there. (Looking at you Kerri Lake and FORMER MCSO Sherriff Joe Arapio.)

"Florida Man" started being a thing in the 1990's, when people began noticing a trend in goofy news stories where a lot of them started with the sentence "On [insert day of the week], a Florida Man was arrested for … " Instead of just a bunch of random people from that state doing random stuff, the internet started weaving it into this story of "The kind of superhero nobody wanted or asked for, but we all get to enjoy them still the same." Very few states had the enormous volume of offbeat, odd, weird, and "Oh, my God! Really?!?!?" types of stories as Florida was kicking out back then.

  9. I used to think that about Florida man too. I went to visit Florida and almost ran over someone on the highway. He was lying down in the road waiting to be run over/ the cops.

    Also, the ONLY people who are going to find the Golden Girls trivia game interesting are those who were alive to see Episodes of Golden Girls air back in the 1980s and those forced to watch reruns by said first group. And being someone who did in fact see episodes of The Golden Girls air in the 1980s, this game isn't for me.
