Watched him with my dad many years ago when he played a challenge match with an unknown up and coming player called Steve Davis
RIP Ray I watched you as a child what a legend 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Top player loved pot black
Pip Ray play in paradise
STEPHEN LEE very upset today
One of the greats of snooker. First world champion I saw back in 1978. Class
Rip Raymond Reardon, you will be missed
Bad news. Liked Ray very much. Nice fella
Ray was a great player very underrated rip ray
RIP Ray
Absolute master around the table and played the game with such style and grace. He would have still been a force in the modern game if he had played in it as he had the ability to adapt, he was head and shoulders above those in his own era. He’s a legend of the green baize but more importantly an absolute gentleman of it. RIP Mr Reardon.
Proper player and true gent you will be missed
R.I.P. Ray, a snooker legend. 😢
One of the titans of the game, a GOAT of snooker. I’ll always remember how Alex Higgins tried to intimidate him in a match but it didn’t work, it only made ray stronger and that intimidated Alex. He was a great champion, and more importantly a great man
I often watch Rays matches from old, we forget just how good a player he was. A legend of the game, did wonders for Ronnie and i'm sure snooker fans will remember him for the man he was, a funny entertaining man and a fine champion. RIP Ray.
A true gentlemen and a great ambassador for snooker. As a young lad playing snooker in the famous Johnny Reggie’s Bacup
Billiard hall with our local professional Jim (Pip) Meadowcroft. Ray Reardon was at his height and along with Alex Higgins the talk of the day back then. Thanks for the memories Ray.
Although a snooker player he had one hell of a good innings, r.i.p
0:35 "Jackula"???
What an inspiration I remember buying my ray reardon cue in 1982, an absolutely wonderful ambassador for the sport. R.I.P Ray
I played snooker with ray once he stuffed me, rip champ
R,I,P Ray
Absolute Legend.
I saw Ray play live twice at Pontins Sandbay Camp Weston Supermare when I was 11 , Whick Ferry Camp nr. Christchurch the year after courtesy of My Grandparents Harry & Doris.
What a Privilege that was . I was in awe of him.
A True Sporting Pioneer . A Snooker Legend.
A Great Entertainer As Well.
God Bless You Mr Reardon And Thanks For The Memories . Respect To U & Urs
♥
Why you pictured him as a left hander?
Played against Ray at Butlins Minehead when I was 10 at Butlins in 1982.
Astonishing for people of a certain age now that a 6 time world champion was doing the rounds at holiday camps but that was how they earned their lucre back then not winning titles.
Absolute gentleman, I had only just started playing with my Dad at the local working men’s club and could on,y just reach the table 😀 but Ray gave some great tips that I still recall to this day.
The first ☝️ was to take a stool to matches with me 😂
Im sure everyone is waiting with baited breath what the frame score was, well all I can say is that it didn’t take long before I needed snookers 😁
He spent time afterwards doing photos (Polaroid Instamatic for those of a certain age)😂 and autographs, unlike the untouchable “mega” superstars of today.
RIP sir condolences to His family and friends 🙏
RIP RAY💫
I hate the fact I’m from this modern generation and not from the older generation where gentlemen was like Ray with amazing morales and humour
watched him play many times.. very sad, but no doubt playing snooker with the angels
R.I.P
RIP Ray Reardon, made a century break aged 91, surely that has to be a record?
