I honestly expected Orphan of Koss instead of Bed of Chaos, I have heard just as much hate for that thig as thr Bed.

I saw a vid of the opening level and was like THIS LOOKS AWESOME! … Only for after that to be a slog of uninteresting combat. Convoluted story. Boring 1 note characters. No plot revelations till the final story! Literally NOTHING until then that being the only drawing force through it. And instead of the epic dragon we get at the opening we get his child reincarnation that's so stupid and gross and boring and the second level opens with him rolling in mud and peeing himself from being scared by Zero GREAT INTRODUCTION TO A CHARACTER! IT'S NOT FUNNY IT'S GROSS!

I was playing security breach on switch and the bugs are way worse. I literally got all the collectibles and endings, EXCEPT the Afton fight ending because Freddy glitched and I'm incapable of charging him anymore. His battery is at one bar and i need him to get past the blob to do the fight, which is literally impossible to do with do little battery life. So I'm screwed.
I'd like to nominate the final fight against Satsuki Kiryuin in Kill la Kill IF.
Forcing the player to win multiple Rock, Paper, Scissor matches in a row to beat a final boss (which she can stop you from playing in the first place if you don't know the cheese) is not what I call good design. 😤

Having Alatreon on here feels so validating. It doesn’t help that they made him much smaller compared to the 3U/GU version. That and the window to tenderize the head is so small, and he’s airborne most of the time so you only get his legs and tail.

A couple points to the afton entry.
1. it isn't afton. Just the mimic being a faker and copying him.
2. it was even more BS. originaly.
before you go and beat it you have to get the animatronic part and weapon you didnt get before 6 am ofcourse and after that long process you make your way down to the final area dodging animatronics and other stuff and you had to do ALL of this WITHOUT SAVING!
Originaly the save points would break after 6 AM as a plot point so if you died on any of this part it was back to right after 6 AM and you needed to go collect the things AGAIN. were you this close to beating the mimic but died? TOO BAD, TRY AGAIN!
They later added 1 save point near the main entrance that would work past 6 AM but STILL!
But other than that YES. Everything you said. It definetly belonged on this list.

the Phantom dust trio of boss fights where you fight the three sisters then the second and final boss with one health pool and your attack deck doesnt refresh between each.
expected the FF dragon boss they actively prevented players from beating multiple times forty hour grinds that when finally looked like they would win the devs shut it down twice and lied about why.

For me:
Chan Lee – Bakugan – the moment she uses her meteor attack, you might as well reset because you won’t get anymore points needed to win.
AXIS – Undertale Yellow – Is it an unwritten rule to have fangames be this hard?
Metal Eggman – Sonic 4 – Hitting this thing can range anywhere from 24 to 100+ hits. On top of unfair attacks and a gauntlet!
Clair – Pokémon – Whitney was one thing, but a Kingdra followed by a haughty attitude is another.
Dynamo Man – Megaman & Bass – All of the bosses are unfair in this game, but Dynamo Man is something else. No telegraphing and he gets healing!

Grey Prince Zote is unfair not because he's hard. He is on the harder side but there are 2 bosses that are more powerful. The problem is that those bosses are Nightmare King Grimm, final boss of the Grimm Troupe dlc and Absolute Radiance, an upgraded version of the final boss with 6 phases of pure agony. But Grey Prince Zote is late mid-game. Why the hell would you put the 4th hardest boss in the game before even getting a majority of nail and spell upgrades and especially shade cloak.
Actually there is an easy way to avoid the super nova at least twice there are teleportas in the chest but if you already have one with you you can save your way back to camp if you use the teleport right before the nover starts doesnt make the fight easier but man it helped
In the DLC for Security Breach, it’s highly implied that Gregory freed Vanessa from Vanny, therefore ignoring the entirety of Burntrap and his boss fight. He’s not the final boss.
Aside that, I’m surprised you don’t lob all the Titan rematches in Grand Koko’s Trial in that slot instead of just Wyvern. I’d actually also argue The End in Supreme is just as annoying for Number 7. And I also kind of forgot about the Dream Eater cloaked guy in DDD

God Fuck Alatreon, I tried doing everything you're supposed to do, use an Ice weapon, break the horns, hit the dps check. But even with all that I could never beat the fucker even after doing it like 30 tries.
Combine that with the shit hitboxes for the walls to topple him, I've had that fucker slide across 1/3 of the wall and not fall, the timer for him to switch always being right after I get back when I die so I can't be sure if I should even bother swapping elements, all while the fandom kept shitting on players who didn't like the fight completely killed all the fun I had with Worldborne and dropped it completely.
You wanna tell me that there is GPZ (when NKG is much worse) fight, but there is no Dark lord from Doom Eternal?
Ngl I kinda like the fight with GPZ, but as a standalone. I just can't keep a straight face while fighting him, because of how ridiculous the fight is; his movements and grunts he's constantly making make it look like we are fighting a menace, that is still a bumbling fool and that cracks me up. So yeah, I think he works as a joke boss, BUT he absolutely wasn't made for the boss rush; especially for the Pantheon of Hallownest, when he appears near the end and right after "Markoth without floor" – the most hated boss in HK community AND right after him you still need to deal with a bunch of the other most aggresive and hardest bosses in the game. The horror.
kaizo traps really should have died after their use in Karateka and remained exclusive to fan games.
