Howdee Rek, janitor here, I dont play rust anymore but that campfire trick is genius.
I really enjoyed these tips, never thought of placing vending machine first then door, one thing i like to do is place 3 furnaces on a triangle with 2 window walls, on of the windows has a rug covering it, which makes a neat hide out during a raid, the triangle foundation is wood, so you can place stashes under it.

One of these days Reks I'll upload a video of my airlock trap. It works well against curious door campers and it is quite hilarious to see their reactions. I believe you and DirtRider would have a lot of fun running it.
Campfires can pass loot through walls, and a simple 2×1 with low walls makes it so i can wall stack on console easily if i log my compass direction as i lay the tiles

Just out of curiosity, do you know if these also apply to console rust? Thay all I have the option to play on and these tips would be a game changer. Love the videos also

Titles video top 5 secret tips. Shows campfire comfort trick, known literally by everyone.
Little extra tip for all ypu newbies. Make a bunker they are rarely raided.
Second tip for people still reading. When honeycombing place your floor frames for anything after honeycomb to make sure you can expand from there. If you find a place you can't place a floor frame. Maybe move before you expant any further.
Me. "Perfect brand new bunker base with turrets and everything, spent 12 hours todsy getting everything perfectly ready to go."

Sometimes if I want to protect myself from door campers I make a outer layer with jump up to my door with a half-wall and hide shotgun traps facing down covering the entrance, so yo create a jump up platform, then lower platform, inside which goes to the inside of the base, so even if you happen to die there from someone camping outside, you should be covered by shotgun traps and be unlootable.
Last couple wipes I've done a 2×2 with all raised triangles around the base except 2 on 1 side. I put twig 1/2 walls on the inside and make sure 1 side (away from TC side) is 1 full height wall. Then put a bag in that honeycomb. Then I put boxes down there and place floors on top. If you break the twig 1/2 wall by bag it breaks 1 floor diagonally from TC and you can get out. If you break both twig the entire floor breaks and anything on it! This works well for hiding good loot below the floor and if you do get raided it'll instantly break their TC they laid and you can get your base back! I figure you're going to get raided but might as well be able to get it back quickly. Put a couple jackhammers down there and you can get thru the soft side wall (since you're inside the base) of the doors they placed! Put some ladders too just in case.
