  3. I’ve definitely seen a shift in my eyeshadow taste as well. I used to love a colorful look and I will do a colorful look with my Pat or Natasha but I’m not busting out a cut crease or nothing extravagant. And it’s always a sultry glam look no matter what. I’ll be 32 in a few days and I haven’t worn matte foundation in a couple years as i feel it ages me so I get it lol we get older and naturally our tastes change

  6. I’m trying to decide what my favorites of the year are: Odin’s Eye Hela and Christmas Day, Nomad Monteverde, Beauty Bay New Mood, Cosmic Brushes Serenity, Unearthly All I Ever Wanted Vol 2 and Fantasy Cosmetica the Druid. I realize that isn’t 10, but those are my standouts from this year.

  8. I’m really bummed that Oden’s Eye made those Christmas palettes a one time release!! I wish they would bring it back at least one more time, because so many people like myself missed out and would snatch them up in a second!!

  11. I thought I didn't even pick up 10 palettes this year but then I started counting… I bought exactly 10. Oden's Eye Christmas eve sticks out as a favourite. Also the ND mini gold although I don't even know when it released. I picked it up in fall. More surprising faves were the makeup revolution x power puff girls Buttercup palette and the Catrice x disney classics Miss Bunny palette. Two nostalgia collabs, one with fun green mattes, the other with rosy neutrals.

  13. I bought the Glaminatrix Nearly Natural palette after you and Theresa is Dead gave it rave reviews. It took forever to get here but I love it! Great matte: shimmer ratio, mostly neutrals with some color, and the shimmers are so pretty.

  17. I have never tried the Roen shadows but from the way you've described them and other videos it seems like they give the 'undone' 'slept-in' kind of Parisian model type look but with sophistication at the same time!

  25. The only palettes I bought this year were two from Nomad Cosmetics. I don’t think you’ve tried them yet Lauren, maybe you could try them in 2023! I love the Provence palette so much, the shimmers are beautiful 💕

  26. Hmmm my top 10 makeup purchases.,, for sure hands down my favorite is the Natasha denona my dream palette. And her my dream cheek trio. The pat McGrath holiday cheek palettes (both), abh rose metals palette, Nars cheek palette, pat McGrath Quinta (both) and the mothership X, makeup by Mario ethereal eyes. I really like the dose of colors anniversary palettes too, both of them. And huda empowered. But the my dream is definitely by far my absolute favorite purchase of not just this year, but the last several years. Love it!

  31. I bought a lot less palettes this year. The only palette I bought that released this year is New Mod and I love it. I was gifted the Back to Hogwarts palette and the Alice and Wonderland palette. I enjoy those a lot too. The old releases I have purchased are Soft Glam and the Lights Camera Lashes palette by Tarte from last year. Both are really nice too.

  32. I knew the violetta, roen a nd the odens eye would be in here! I’m SO sad devastated heartbroken that I don’t have the merry Christmas palette. I wish one of you odens eye loving, representing since day of me odens eye peeps could tell them do to ONE more release or even a pre-order so they could gauge a number to make. I think it would be worth their time too.

  33. I can't do neutrals. They are beautiful in the morning, but when I catch my face throughout the day, I look like I'm back at my boring old office job. Also, they make me look older, if I do anything more than a wash of warm mauvey champagne shimmer on the lid(?) Jewel tones, on the other hand, never let me down.

  36. The sssSECOND Patrick Ta comes out with a cool toned neutral palette I think I will buy it. I love when a palette has two-shadow looks all throughout, and the fact that the mattes & shimmers seem to match perfectly… 🤤
    I think the rose one looks like one of the recent Too Faced Born This Way palettes! However the shimmers in PT look way more nuanced.

  42. "I just want to look pretty in my eyeshadow" GIRL YES! This sums up my style. Neutrals just make me feel pretty. Always. Every time. I don't have to wonder. I don't have to spend time making it work. They just are that "pretty" factor for me. When color was all the rage, I stuck to my neutrals because it's what made me feel pretty. And let me tell you, not a single person said my eyeshadow looked hideous because it wasn't colorful 🙂

    Don't get me wrong, some wear color and pull it off effortlessly. They wear it daily, they have fun with it, and it's truly what makes them feel pretty. I hope they continue to wear it because that's incredible and I love that for them. For me, I'll continue wearing my neutrals and we will both be gorgeous, confident people living our best makeup lives 🙂

  43. The only things I have been enjoying this past year is a few mini viseart palletes. I didn’t buy much of anything in the way of eyeshadow. I’m on a quest for my best foundation. Koh Ken doh and Shishedo are still my favorites.
