You know, I watched the entire Evangelion franchise front to back twice, and I got to say, I've never been more confused about an anime in my life. The back story plot was so incomprehensible and I couldn't wrap my head around it. I still think its worth a watch, just remember to throw all sense of logic out of the window. It did leave an impression on me, though

I don't care for anime in the slightest. But I was made to watch Cowboy bebop and Gurren lagann. They were pretty good.
Gundam is underrrated.
The only two shows I've watched on this list, are dragon Ball and HunterxHunter, I haven't fully watch dragon Ball super but I will eventually, also Sao, cardcaptors, sailor Moon, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE LIST.

As an adult coming into Anime I would recommend Berserk's The Golden Age Arc, DeathNote, Cowboy Beebop, Attack on Titan, Black Lagoon, and Vinland Saga!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

see if I were to recommend any gundam series its probably going to be either the original dub (if watching dub) of Seed, 00, Iron blooded orphans; as those are pretty much complete stories that dont have decades of added shit

Watchmojo has a weird obsession with gurren laggan for anime and spec ops for games…these 2 always gets mentioned on these kind of lists…and if you want your mind to lose all logical sense neon genesis evangelion is your go to anime plus the original 2 movies death and rebirth and end of evangelion is the super saiyan of confusion

one Piece and Attack on Titan are the exceptions.
you should also watch Tokyo Revengers. This anime has more twists than any other series.
