  1. Transform the Starcruiser into an add-on dinner + escape room show like medieval times, boom, no more overnight staff, no more hotel issues, and they already have the box trucks to make it happen.

  2. It would’ve been cool if alongside with Back to the Future, they had E.T. or Jaws, or if they wanted a current franchise, they could do Harry Potter or Nintendo. There’s so much material in these IPs, that you could create your own story with it

  3. Universal is starting to hit the mark. Your praise for Back the the Future gives me hope that they’re doing Epic Universe right, especially when they’ve increased budgets instead of slashing them like we’re all accustomed to.

  4. I just love seeing how much joy this back to the future experience brought for Tom. I also love that franchise and can’t wait now to give this new attraction a try! Thanks very much for this review.

  5. Looks like universal could be in a real position to bury Disney in terms of overall quality, can’t wait to get to do this I feel like the Jurassic world will be more popular in the future just because of IP but hyped for back to the future as well

  6. As a fan of the JP/JW franchises, I feel like everything in the land at islands of adventure already checks a lot of the boxes as far as that emotional appeal and connection (rides, the music, raptor encounter, etc.). Another franchise like BTTF that didn't already have a big presence in the nearby parks might've been better. But yeah there were probably more corporate fingerprints on the Jurassic one.

  7. Do you think you felt different about the 2 rooms because you are more connected to Back to the Future, would you have chnaged your mind if Jurassic Park was your favourite film?
Love your honest reviews , excellent👍

  8. “ A fight broke out last month at Universal City Walk’s Great Movie Escape attraction. According to sources, the fight started when the fathers of the families got in a disagreement over who would sit in the driver seat of the model Delorean. Sources also reported the eldest sons of each family were offered up as tribute to fight in the parking lot outside the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance set. According to police reports both families have been banned for life.”

  9. Hi Tom, thank you for making an honest review. I also grew up going to Universal Studios since it opened and have a deep seated sentimentality about the original rides. I’m thinking of booking a private room bc I’m going to be a party of 3 and am a little concerned about how strangers would impact my experience. I’m glad you addressed that in the video. I’m really hoping that I get to experience the BTTF room. Thanks again for an honest and informative video 👍🏻😄

  10. We did the Jurassic World room on Saturday and had a great time. We went with our daughter who just turned 10 and had 2 others in the room with us for a total of 5, which I think was the perfect amount. The attraction/ room was cool but lacked Dino theming if you didn't tell me its was Jurassic park/world I wouldn't have known and just assumed we were in a science lab. We had never done an escape room this was our 1st time and we enjoyed it. The difficulty level was good enough outside of the 1st room everything was challenging. 2 rooms we were clueless on and had to just move on without really solving anything.

We definitely want to go back to do the BTF room, the vibe of the lobby is cool, drinks were decent, but as someone who visited the Groove plenty of times in its heyday you can still see remnants of the old nightclub, but its cool for nostalgia. We recommended this experience to anyone looking for something new to do at Universal.

  11. Is it awkward for a single visitor to join a group in your opinion- guess it depends on the people (answering my own question) 🙄Also, wouldn’t it be great if Universal had a film showing at the movie theatre which has excerpts from discontinued rides. They must have some good footage.

  12. I'm firmly of the mindset that Jurassic Park isn't a franchise, it's a perfect movie with lousy sequels and a lousier crop of reboots. I grimaced and rolled my eyes when Jurassic World was announced to be part of the Great Movie Escape, simply because I knew it was a corporately mandated choice because those movies made tons of money. Obviously concessions had to be made to get Back to the Future, a trilogy of movies that hasn't had any sort of new media entry since the Telltale game in 2010, put into the attraction, and that concession was Jurassic World.

Here's hoping we get a Ghostbusters adventure replacing Jurassic World.

  13. I’m not a big escape room guy so I don’t think I’ll do it unless maybe a friend or a family member would want to do it other than that I’ll probably just walk by it. And yeah I think that they could throw in a animatronic or two in the Jurassic World room if it’s the way you say it is especially at the end. Thanks for the video sir.

  14. Why they didn’t incorporate a full dinosaur animatronic or puppetry into the Jurassic World rooms for some light scares escapes me. Pun intended. Some thriller elements are allowed, the Jurassic Park ride is allowed to be scary sometimes.
